Mister Jack
The 30 day trial worked for me! How do you see your PS plus status? Settings > PSN > Account Information > Services List Also I tried my 30 day voucher and it worked for me too. Remember to disable automatic renewal too. Should be from the same menu. Vecha
Thanks MJ. Checked and glad to see it stacked ontop of my 3 month...Now...to try and nab the 30 dollar 12-month PSPlus card that is supposed to pop up at certain stores. Waldorf and Statler
When's your PS4 due in? It was meant to come Monday morning and the UPS website swears it still does. But at 11 pm (2 hours ago) it arrived at the office of my neighboring town. Unless UPS decides to hold it for one day out of spite, it should be there tomorrow. Gotta drive back tomorrow to accept it.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, definitely disable auto-renewal, even if you want to renew, cause it puts you on the 3-month auto-renewal schedule which is slightly more expensive than renewing yearly. Vecha
I hope there is at least one juicy (J/W)RPG that comes out next year for the ps4. Not banking on DA:I enrapturing me next year...Maybe Witcher 3. Still need to finish the second.Ramble ramble.ETA:Anyone tried the Sony Music Unlimited Service trial? It's nice...like it. But 10 bucks a month? Not sure I'd want to jump on that wagon ON TOP of ps plus...even though it covers all devices. Wish there was an Ad version...I'd gladly accept an ad every couple of songs to make it free. Edited November 24, 2013 by Vecha
Waldorf and Statler
If DA2 nor Witcher 3 are candidates for "juicy rpg" you might be in trouble. Cause Persona 5 might not come out till 2015 if announced, and even then chances are it's ps3. And there are some nice indie RPG's imma play, but those aren't juicy enough. My question is where the fuck is my Dragon's Dogma 2.
deanb
DA:I and W3 both come out on PC too, which'd negate them as console RPGs anyway.
TheMightyEthan
DA:I and W3 both come out on PC too, which'd negate them as console RPGs anyway. The fact that they're coming out on PC does not negate the fact that they are also coming out on console.
deanb
Negate is probably not the best word, but why would you get a console for playing two PC games?
Popular Post Hot Heart
Because you've already got/already planned to get the console, your PC isn't up to scratch and you can play them just fine with a controller? deanb
Maybe my "why I'd get a specific console" reasonings are different from other folks, but I wouldn't plan on getting a console based on upcoming multi-platform games. And given Vecha has mentioned finishing up Witcher 2, he can assumedly run the games on his PC. And I haven't mentioned anything about them not working with a controller...(it's how I played Witcher 2 anyway)
Hot Heart
The controller comment wasn't meant as a slight or anything, just an additional reason why someone might be OK with playing the games on console. And I actually think he's been playing Witcher 2 on his 360, so perhaps his PC isn't ideal and he prefers gaming on a console. Nothing to say those are the only factors in his purchase (checking now, he already has the PS4 anyway) and, yeah, people have different reasons. I'd be a little more baffled as to why he wouldn't want to carry over his save for Witcher 3.

staySICK
well this morning was a bust. After a rough night I got out of work at 6:45, headed straight to Best Buy to find a fairly large line. Wait a few minutes, a guy comes out with supposedly 16 tickets, hands them out, then says "sorry guys, we are sold out of consoles, check back next Sunday." By this time it's only a little after 7, I head over to Target -- no one is there. Sit in my car for about half an hour, head to the doors about 15 minutes before opening. A guy comes out and asks if we are looking for anything in particular (by this time there's 4 of us), and we ask about PS4s... none. Xbox Ones they got six of. So I could have had an Xbox One. Strangelove
whatever you do, dont get the Xbox One because theyre "there". Wait for a PS4. Dont settle. Youll regret it.
Mr. GOH!
Get an Xbox one if you want weird TV integration and Dead Rising 3, though.

I've actually played a fare bit of Witcher 2 on both my PC and 360. Really liked the game. Just haven't finished it :/ Guess I'll try and beat it on my 360 while I save up for a new GPU(I have a silly, pitiful onboard APU/GPU thingy). But yeah...I want a nice console-specific RPG. Mal
I forgot to mention that when I went to get my trade in, I had a chance to have a look at a PS4. First thing that came to mind is "Holy shit, it is small". Sure I could just look up the dimensions but to see it in person is another thing entirely. It'll be odd to see a slim version in the future/
Vecha
Yeah, I've already said this...but the ps4 reminds me SOOOOoooOOo much of the ps2. I'm sure a ps4 slim will be as small as the ps2 slims.
Waldorf and Statler
staySick: I'd highly suggest checking early this week for ps4 stock tracking sites. Most stores that receive shipments this week will probably wait for Black Friday. If you can't find any go to Black Friday as early as possible to a local Best Buy. Mal
Just go into a holding pattern for now. No reason to go to Best Buy on Black Friday. It'll only end in anger since they for sure will use a ticket system. Unless they implement some wrist band sort of thing or something, the first few people in line will become a horde who will eat up the tickets. Mister Jack
If you go out to shop for deals on Thanksgiving day, you are a shithead.
Waldorf and Statler
Well going to stores to shop for deals is stupid, unless there's a specific deal only in brick and mortar stores. These usually revolve around big electronics like TV's. But many of these stores offer these deals online yes. PS4 on Black Friday I specifically mentioned because rumors are that many of these stores are holding unto their stock for Black Friday. Gamestop is one of them, and I swear I heard that Target is as well.
