Playstation 4

So apparently for up ports and such there will be a discount on the PS4 version of the game if you've already bought the PS3 or vita vesion. Sounds like they also plan to take crossbuy to the next generation so we might see a good price. I mean they are good about prices for their titles on the store. I saw the last of us on PSN for £39.99 which is a decent price in all honesty for a digital copy.

Also if you're in the US I've heard that Beyond:2 Souls is $39.99 on the Sony store which is a good price. Only US though.

Box contents.

Is there a power brick or is it built in like the PS3 as there seems to be half the power cable missing from the photo.

I'll be so glad to get rid of the mini USB of the PS3 controller, it's the only thing in my house that uses that connection and I hate having to keep a cable around for it, not to mention I usually try and plug a micro USB cable in it first out of habit.

USB sticks are not without weight...

...did I say or imply they weren't? I even said "too much" which would mean that whatever it is "too much" more than has some weight.

The implication of a few page thick manual adding to the weight of the shipping that a USB stick wouldn't.

Also they're getting rid of mini-USB? That kinda sucks. It's a bit tougher than micro-USB, but I guess it does mean can use phone chargers.

It's the same as the latest redesign for the PS3. The PS3 use to have a standard PC power cord, but Sony switched over to the two-prong cord (whatever it may be called) for the "Super Slim."

I don't know if this means the PS4 is more energy efficient, or if the console itself will be underpowered for cost efficiency. Considering the amount of ventilation on the box, it shouldn't be such a problem in terms of cooling/heat.
