TheFlyingGerbil
so you can turn the VR bit of (i.e. the head tracking) and just use it as a personal 3D display for normal 3D games and blu rays.
Chronixal
Working on? Isn't it just this thing? http://www.sony.co.uk/hub/personal-3d-viewer
TheFlyingGerbil
No, it's a VR headset so will have head tracking so as you move your head around the image moves with it. The one you linked is just a personal screen. Of course it could be based on that headset. Hopefully they'll be able to make it two full HD screens though since I'm hoping PS4 games will be full HD as standard.
TCP
This game.... this game looks so good.
TheMightyEthan
God that's gorgeous. Graphics are somewhere between TF2 and Wind Waker. Also in terms of gameplay its giving me Ico/Journey vibes. That's a good thing. *Edit* - Who's developing it? SCEE is the only company I see mentioned. Never mind, XDEV. Tequila Works. Man, I'm retarded. Edited September 4, 2013 by TheMightyEthan

TheMightyEthan
Looks like Sony really got their shit together this gen. Even the Xbone controller won't work on PC at launch.

I'm pretty sure I saw more than one setup like that in the indie section.
Mister Jack
http://youtu.be/FKwL4lrDmA0 Video proof. I know it's not very good but it's all I have. Looks like it even recognizes the touchpad, at least as a button.
TheFlyingGerbil
That's cool. I'd love a controller for my laptop, but not enough to have another one laying around. I need to stay out of this thread or I'm not going to be able to keep myself from buying a PS4 sooner than I wanted to. TheMightyEthan
Damn, I'm oscillating around quickly. Now I feel like I want a PS4 at launch (to play shit like Watch Dogs), because system-level remote play on the Vita is such a fantastic feature, but I think I've missed that boat already. TheMightyEthan
And 24 hours later I've cemented myself firmly into "get a PS4 as soon as I can get my hands one one". We'll see if that's still true in two months.
TCP
Welcome to the brotherhood. Not buying consoles at launch is for suckers!

TCP
A couple thoughts about that video... That one girl was kind of like a Japanese Sarah Greene. I think I'm in love all over again. Speaking of her... did she play Knack via Remote Play off her PS4.. which would be at home.. at school?!?!?! Also, I want to live in Japan... everyone has Vitas and there are large concert like Killzone events. This is where I belong!!
TheFlyingGerbil
that's interesting. Not for me though. I wonder how the touch screen features of the vita games will work when you're playing them on the vita TV?
TheMightyEthan
Speaking of her... did she play Knack via Remote Play off her PS4.. which would be at home.. at school?!?!?! PS3 remote play already allows this, you can play across the internet (for the games that support remote play at all), but good luck getting a connection with low enough latency to actually make it playable.
TCP
That's the thing! When this feature was first announced back in February I thought the remote play feature had to be under the same network. I have access to some really good wifi networks.. this is promising! TCP
The fact that a Bethesda game is being heavily featured in a PS4 commercial only says good things about the PS4 versions of Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 4.

TheMightyEthan
With the announcement of the delay of Watch Dogs I'm seriously considering canceling my preorder. Thing is, I know I'm going to want one early next year when Watch Dogs, Destiny and Infamous come out, so the question is how long shortages are going to last.
