So I've reached the limit of the stock 500GB internal drive. I could delete a few installed games, but I thought this would be a good time as any to look into a 2TB HDD.

Only thing that bugs me is that I learned that while replacing the drive is as simple as it was on PS3, you can't truly back up the system. So you have to download the system file off Sony's site and back up your save files. So, anyone who has gone through this, any tips for an easier transition? I already know that 2TB is the the recommended size as larger drives either will unreliable or just not recognized.

So rather than Amazon, I did a store pickup last night for my local Best Buy on a Seagate 2TB Internal HDD.

Seems someone didn't do pickups in the morning and the item was sold out this afternoon. Believe it or not I'm thinking a lot of PS4 owners had the same idea as me as the HDD is sold out at its current sale price across many retailers.

So I have it on backorder at Amazon.

Wow, that's a weird system. At Walmart if you order it for store pickup they actually set one aside for you for that order, and hold it for like 10 days.

Well, that's suppose to be the system for a lot of retailers. When I was in retail, this was also the case. This Best Buy happened to slip up and not grab one for me.

That, or they're so bad at their job that they lost the hard drive.

@Atomsk88 http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Backup-Portable-External-STDR2000101/dp/B00FRHTTIA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451906832&sr=8-1&keywords=seagate+external+hard+drive+2tb this is the same drive. Just crack open the case. As a bonus, you can then stick the 500GB drive in the case and get an external drive. I did it for my system (the external drive was cheaper than the internal).

And the red and blue color drives are only 90....nice.

I already got my internal drive in the mail today from Amazon, but I did notice that swapping an external drive was an option a few days ago. I'm sure I'll find a use for the spare drive.

Right now I'm downloading the system software, but otherwise this actually isn't too bad of a procedure. It's like the console version of doing a 3DS SD card swap.

So early in the day everything was fine on my PS4. I stepped away for 3 hours and decided to get back on for a little more fun in my day off.

I received Error Code WS-37397-9.

So it appears there are some login issues with PSN today. What is worrying me is that my ISP may have been blocked. I am given "Access Denied" when going to Sony Entertainment Network for account login.

It seems like it's basically equivalent to cable.  I don't see the advantage/difference (other than that it's streaming).

I'm probably not the target audience though, since I cut the cable like 6 years ago and the only time I wish I had it is during the Olympics and the World Cup.  But then I just log in with my parent's cable account and stream it.

PS Vue isn't available in Canada, and probably never will be, but it seems like a disadvantage. With remote play coming to PC and Mac, and with PSVR getting a "theatre mode", that's perfect to play PS4 in the same room as your girlfriend/wife if she's watching something on TV you don't like. But if your PS4 is your cable box that makes it impossible....

That said, I'm not sure what cable prices are like in the states and how PS Vue compares.

You can grab the remote play installer here:

https://remoteplay.dl.playstation.net/remoteplay/lang/en/index.html

I'll be giving it a spin later. My computer n PS4 are right next to each other, but hey saves changing my signal input. :P

edit: the quality of the stream is pretty low, but I guess it's the trade-off between quality n speed.
