This jump from the PS4 -> PS4 Pro just doesn't seem that huge. Why not wait till 2018 and release the PS5 and make it backwards compatible with the PS4. I don't know anyone who owns a 4K TV and the benefit doesn't seem that huge for those of us with standard TVs.

You still have SDTV?

Anyway when PS3/360 launched the vast majority didn't have HDTV, but eventually folks did and their consoles were there to upgrade with them. I think this is less a console for folks looking to upgrade, though they will be there, and alongside the Slim another option and enticement for first time buyers. Given that the PS4 and Xbone have both moved to an X86 base and essentially off the shelf components we're likely to see a more iterative upgrading approach. In much the same way we don't have "Gaming PC 2", just annual improvements.

Hmm, since I was unimpressed with the Pro, a PS4 1TB Console, LEGO Star Wars Game and Star Wars Force Awakens Blu-Ray for £150 seems tempting. What to do, what to do... I feel like I got the consoles the wrong way around - should have bought the PS4 at launch and the Scorpio when it comes out. At the moment I don't think I'll have either of the .5 upgrades.

They might have gotten rid of it all. It was the older 500GB model iirc. But could be worth looking around at some of the smaller shops. I heard Smyths was doing the deal and they're not exactly at the front of my mind when it comes to "places to buy games consoles" so might be same for others.
