Thorgi Duke of Frisbee
Post your recent dreams here! Last night, I running through the original Resident Evil's mansion as Jill Valentine. I know a chunk of the mansion from memory, so I just kept running through, recognizing the enemy placement and various landmarks. Then I opened one of the doors on the far side of the mansion and it was pitch black inside. When I walked through the door, I started falling infinitely until I fell onto the lab floor of some Umbrella facility. The scientists present basically gave me all of Wesker's abilities, and we fought each other on top of a New York skyscraper (I forgot how I ended up there). As soon as I kicked him of the ledge, I woke up.
Pirandello
Sometimes I wonder if I actually have some sort of vague premonition ability in my dreams. I run into a situation that feels really familiar to me despite never having been in it before, and then my brain kicks in and I swear that I actually dreamed about it weeks before. It usually applies to things like running into someone wearing a certain type of clothing, or running into someone at a specific time in a specific place. It happens often enough that I often wonder about it, and have yet to come up with a proper explanation.
Strangelove
I had a dream last night where I was about to fuck one of my facebook friends. I woke up before it happened though, with a huge boner to boot.

People tell me it's "deja vu," but to me that has always signified you're experiencing something really similar and not that you've witnessed it before in a dream. So yeah, I have this happen to me too. Sometimes it happens frequently, sometimes it'll be a long while until I "deja vu" and usually mine are triggered by a phrase and then an associated action. I can't say most of them have been significant, or anything like you could "prevent" an occurrence. Every single one I've had has acted out just as I've seen them, even to the point I recognize the event in the dream.

Hot Heart
Hehe. We haven't done something like this in ages. I think my all-time favourite dream is in here: http://forum.pressxo...p?showtopic=406 My most recent one I can recall seems to have been inspired by reading about the Banquet of Chestnuts because of the Borgias in AC:B. Not quite as salacious but still... Edited October 26, 2011 by Hot Heart
Thorgi Duke of Frisbee
Last night I dreamed that I was Harley Quinn's old partner. For whatever reason she decided to swoop back in and torment me. Except she wasn't the normal Harley Quinn you see in Batman fiction; more like a cross between Quinn and Mileena. She kept appearing at every corner with a creepy smile, and eventually she decided she had enough of this little game, unhinged her jaw, made this horrible, guttural sound... Then I woke up. CorgiShinobi
This explains deja vu, but as I thought, "deja vu" is when you have no preconceived reason as to why the event is familiar. It's just "familiar." Current top comment talks about the dream aspect, at least, in the idea that it's confused for deja vu.Either way, now I know what those muscle spasms before I sleep are called: Hypnagogic Jerk. Oh, and it's nice to know about the other vu's out there.
TheFlyingGerbil
In my dream I was touching my big toe nail. Without noticing how it became as big as my thumb and really thick. I bit it off and then rubbed it soothingly in the way you might a pebble or smooth piece of wood. That was it. I don't remember ever having a dream so focused on on particular detail. Mister Jack
Okay I don't usually post my dreams but this one was too strange. There are two guys. I don't remember if they had names so let's just call them Rod and Tod. They're smoking a bowl and then a news report comes on tv about a guy who was shot in the face by an asian assailant, then managed to make a miraculous recovery and go on to inspire everyone by becoming an NFL star. Hearing this, Tod gets an idea. If getting shot in the face by an asian makes you good at sports, then getting shot in the face by an asian who is already good at sports will in turn make you GODLY at sports. Rod agrees and they decide they need to hook up with Yao Ming and get him to shoot Tod in the face. But then it turns out that Yao Ming lives really far away so they decide not to bother. fuchikoma
I had a strange one the other night that was more notable because it was lucid... I looked out my living room window and saw the neighbours across the street painting their car with the kind of sprayer wand you'd use at a manual car wash. It was gushing this watery-looking orange paint and it was splashing off the road and spraying the front of my house and probably my car parked in front of it. It was all over the place. So I grabbed my camera and ran to the window and started recording them for a few seconds until it hit me how weird this really was. So I opened up my camera and pulled out a AA cell (funny - it takes a rectangular Li-ion pack in real life...) and then cribbed a trick out of Inception - I thought "if I'm dreaming, this thing will spin when I drop it." I tossed it on the floor and it started , then just to be sure, I pressed down on the middle a couple times, but it always picked up energy and stood up again. With that, I thought "well! Nothing to worry about then!" I went out onto the front steps and carefully flew up onto the roof to get a better vantage point to watch them spray the car with paint... TheMightyEthan
I've had a couple of weird, half-lucid dreams like that recently too. Always before I've woken up within a couple seconds of realizing I'm dreaming, but over the last couple weeks I've had a couple dreams where it's like part of me knows I'm dreaming so I can change stuff in the dream at will but I still don't really no I'm dreaming so I stay asleep. UnstableArk
Is it weird that I've NEVER had a lucid dream? Not once, every time I'm completely unaware of its surrealism. Can't remember the last thing I dreamt too clearly, but the radio was left on the talk station and I was somehow constructing what was said into a dream in real-time. Something about the constituion? Pretty cool, but I still can't remember what it was about...strange. Seems I'm more likely to dream when sick. There's been one recurring nightmare since I was about 4 or 5 that only happens when I have a bad fever. Doesn't happen all too much in this climate, but it's bound to come back again some day. Still don't know what it means...

madbassman39
Never had a lucid dream... I've had dreams where I've woken up from and enjoyed them so much that I've slept lightly while trying to put the dream back together in my imagination, but I am always fully aware of my surroundings. I've always been a light sleeper, where even the door can wake me, which I don't know makes for good or bad lucid dreaming techniques, but I feel like I can remember my dreams in great detail more than my friends. Any how, this is a dream I had on May 23rd 2011. I wrote it down because it was awesome. I was traveling through time (theoretically nothing in my dream had been proof that I had actually time traveled, it was just "hey lets travel through time) to find a golden disco ball, smaller than a volley ball but larger than a baseball. In order to find this golden disco ball I had to use a crystal monocle that was given to me. During my hunt there were people who were attacking me, chasing me through time, and my only attack was to use the monocle by throwing it in the air where it would float and catch people on fire and then return to me. After a short fight I find the golden disco ball (from here on out I will shorten as the GDB), but unfortunately one of the attackers had ambushed me and took the GDB and my crystal monocle, only it wasn't one guy anymore but two. The man who took my crystal monocle turned to crystal and he and the other guy with the GDB start jumping through time. Eventually the crystal man was known as the Crystal Emperor and the man with the GDB was known as "The Emperors Hand". I start to jump through time to find them, and I get at text telling me exactly where they are, so my brother, sister and I jump through time and end up on this train. My brother and sister had no idea about my goals to find the Crystal Emperor and The Emperors Hand, they just thought they were on a train ride. During my train ride, my sister thinks its funny to steal my sunglasses (all heroes need sunglasses) and accidentally de-rails her car. Fuck her, I have more important things to do, like find and kill the Crystal Emperor. Turns out my sister isn't a loss cause in my mind because she was able to re-rail her car and catch up to the train somehow while the train was stopped at the train station. The problem with the train station was that it was uphill and the only way to walk to the front of the car was to walk in a certain way, which the young conductor (like 9 years old young) was trying to show us. I kept falling down and was getting very frustrated (even though I realized how funny it was). My sister and brother didn't realize why I was getting so angry, and I told them that I was supposed to find and kill the Crystal Emperor, which they didn't believe, until I explained that the Crystal Emperor was made out of crystal and he got that way by stealing my crystal monocle. They realized I wasn't making things up, because that made sense to them. Eventually we got the train moving again and it was going smooth until the train stopped dead in its tracks on the edge of a cliff to one side of the train, with a cliff wall on the other. All of a sudden this fireball comes crashing next to the train leaving this huge crater and I look inside and see the GDB. I jump in to grab it when another fireball comes down on the other side of the train and lands softly. In this fireball was the Emperors Hand, who was chasing the ball because maybe he lost it. I decide to put my hood on my jacket and tell the Emperors Hand that I'm here to kill him. We both draw swords and start a fight inside the train cars. I am doing well, naturally, so I start to show off and get a little cocky and fall off the train and cliff, grabbing on at the last second but loosing my sword. Freaking out I manage to get back up and punch the Emperors hand in the face, take his sword and stab him. The Emperors Hand begins to stumble and falls off of the train, still holding on. I decide to finish him by stabbing his hand, but he wouldn't let go, so I kept stabbing his hands trying to get him to let go, but he wouldn't let go. I get mad and start to stab harder, and eventually the Emperors Hand falls to his death. I pick up the GDB and turn around to my dad who says "Good. You have the GDB, now lets go kill the Emperor"
Little Pirate
My dreams are usually a major acid trip all the time, so I don't bother to talk about them much, but lately I've been having reoccurring dreams for about four weeks now. It always seems to revolve around an area of my neighborhood I lived in as a kid. My house that was close to my schools (both the elementary and the high school were on the same street), and the park that separated them, and the cemetary a street down my house. It's always at night time. I seem to be trying to head back home, but for some reason I can never find my house. And every time I get close, I end up in a completely different street. And sometimes I never make it to my house but end up straight by the cemetary, which went from a small town cemetary to this massive field of graves, then I end up wandering in there. These also seem to be dreams that I realize I'm lucid dreaming in. It gets rather disorienting to wake up from these...
madbassman39
I had my first Lucid dream. It was brief, but absolutely amazing. Started off I was working this golf tournament for school/work, and this older lady couldn't park her BMW and wanted me to help her change. I told her that she didn't need to change and she was fine, but I'll help her park her car. I got in her car and put it in reverse, took my foot off the brake and the car smashed in to the car in front of us. This happened over and over, eventually I got embarrassed because it looked like I couldn't park the car infront of my peers. Eventually I realized I was dreaming and I said "fuck this, I'm going to take the car." And I drove off in the car completely in control with the old lady next to me. I looked at the old lady and said "you're no longer an old lady, your a young bikini model" turned away and then looked back and there she was, except her voice didn't change, so I made her sound way hotter. Before anything else could happen I woke up.
CorgiShinobi
I had a realistic, then depressing dream this morning. Lately I've been trying to get a few GBA games I missed out on as a teen, like Minish Cap, Golden Sun: The Lost Age, and Boktai: The Sun Is in Your Hand. I was in an eBay auction since last night and it was going to end at 10 am this morning. It had eveything and was going real cheap, but sadly I knew I wouldn't have the winning bid for the next eight hours. I thought I woke up to place the winning bid... but I dreamt it. When I really woke up an hour after the auction (hey, I didn't sleep well), I saw someone else won it for $16. Not the end of the world or anything, but then I fell back to sleep for about 20 minutes, and in that time I had another dream. I was at my grandma's house, and she was trying to get rid of all this junk in storage. Supposedly my distance cousins left all their SNES and Game Boy games and had a vast collection. I was amazed at how much had been hiddened away. Then I woke up and began thinking I really must regret ever trading in so many games from my childhood. Popular Post Little Pirate
I had a dream that I was in the Mass Effect world, and Garrus became my sniper trainer. After going on mission where we killed this gigantic black tentacled space monster, we go back and grab lunch with some other people on our team (Legion and Miranda were the only other main characters I recognized...). At some point I asked him how the hell sex with fem-Shep worked. Miranda got up and left because she didn't want to hear about it. Garrus waited until everyone else left... And he just responded with 'Very... very carefully.' He told me to go back to my room and that I had to do extra training the next day. Tough teacher.
Mister Jack
I had a dream about Regular Show, which is weird because I haven't watched it in at least a month. Anyway, Benson was doing some kind of bake sale/competition and all the employees had to enter something, which apparently included me. Mordecai made some kind of giant rice krispie square. I don't remember what everyone else did, including myself. Anyway, Benson's hithero unmentioned daughter shows up to this thing, and rather than being a gumball machine she's this smoking hot blonde. I think her name was Isabella? Mordecai immediately started hitting on her and got her to agree to go with him to some kind of event, I think a concert or something like that. Problem was, I had already watched him make plans with Margaret to go to a different event. I don't really approve of guys who do that so I pulled him aside and asked "Did you forget about Margaret?" As it turned out, he actually DID forget, but when I pressed him on it and told him that if he wanted to hook up with Isabella he had to break it off with Margaret first, he just shrugged and said "It's cool. I'll just two-tiiiiiime. Hm! Hm! Hm!" Well, things escalated and we got into a fight. I don't really think there was a clear winner. Isabella ended up breaking us up, but she overheard part of our conversation and not only did she break things off with Mordecai, but said that she was going to tell Margaret about what happened so she'd dump Mordecai too. She then thanked me for being a decent guy and left. I asked Mordecai if he was going to make it weird if one of his crushes ended up liking me now, and he said no because he admittedly brought it on himself. Then Isabella came back with a huge syringe and took enough blood from me to make me collapse because she wanted to test it for STDs. WTF
I had one of those awesomely lucid dreams again. The best part of this one was that I could touch, feel and sense everything in the dream. Not to mention I was pulled out of another dream and landed in this weird fluorescent lit mall in a town in the middle of nowhere. There was this long dark haired girl in my dream who seemed extremely upset. I spent time talking to her and trying to figure out what was wrong with her. I fixed her bangs for her and ended up helping her shop through the mall and the supermarket. I realised that she had lost someone important in her life from the nature of the conversation. I had to make sure it was a dream so I tried to look at her face. I realised that while it's probably a dream I can see her face though I'd never remember it once I woke up. [i am in control of my actions in 60% of my dreams] Throughout the course of the dream she slowly started to cheer up. She began to open up to me about life in a town that I'd never really heard of (some small town someplace) for the most part I was just trying to make sure was alright and trying to fix her hair because it was just too messy and I had to fix it up. I just had to. I asked her about the city (I have recurring dreams of a city with a tall spire where they keep trying to interview me for this job in some sort of dark tower. The city reminds me of a cyberpunk version of 19th century Victorian London but mostly deserted and apparently populated by dead people) and she said she'd dreamt of it as well but it'd been a while. That set her bawling again because apparently the person she missed had also spoken about it before they passed away. Skipped the conversation. For some reason she didn't have enough to cover her bill. I didn't have any money on me either but I tried to convince the cashier I was good for it. Since it was closing time and the difference was miniscule in her eyes (Not sure how $80 is miniscule at a point of sale in a supermarket) she let us go. I helped her keep everything in her car. She asked me if I would join her and I told her that I would some other time. As she drove off, I woke up with a jolt. That's the most recent dream - at least it's better than when Dracula, Frankenstein and co offer me bloody marys and tomato juice. Or dreams where everyone's out to kill me.
