Reveal hidden contents -Celestia ends her letter to Twilight with "Yours, Princess Celestia". Twilestia shippers will no doubt use that as fuel. -I'm probably the only one, but I absolutely loved how supportive Applejack was in regards to Twilight. It might just be because I'm writing Twijack, though! -SONGS. So many songs, and all of them fantastic. -I'm actually surprised with how well Shining Armor and Cadence were as characters. I won't go into details, but suffice to say, I'm now convinced. -Lyra and Colgate spoke. Incoming fangasms/fan rage. -Luna shows up! I was so pleased that she actually showed up in the episode. Not only that, but it did indeed seem to show that Celestia is up during the day and Luna is up during the night, so if you've written them like that (which I have!), you just got some support. -The changeling queen is my new favorite villain. Seriously. The design and everything about it is simply fantastic. I'm really curious to see how they'll manage to top her. -Vinyl shows up too at the very end. At least I got to see the new episode of Legend of Korra!Will edit there for impressions.EDIT1: End of 1st Part: Uh, wow... that was pretty intense. That's some Maleficent evil right there!EDIT2: Pretty strong episode. I would imagine so for a two part season finale. Villainy was at a much more sinister level than "Nightmare Moon" or Discord, though he was more about chaos than deep rooted evil. I have to say, I'm feeling up to putting some Fighting is Magic music to that fighting sequence too.Also liked how they didn't Reveal hidden contents end up using the Elements of Harmony. I swear, if they used them again, they would be FiM's Spirit Bomb. Shining Armor and Cadence using love was great, though their bodies arcing into a heart was a little too much if you ask me.Oh, and Vinyl showing up at the end was the cherry on top! I totally got a classical Disney vibe while watching this episode. It was great and I bet kids would love it too. The only thing I can say is kind of bad is that it seemed that they tried to cram in too much stuff in 40 minutes.
