CorgiShinobi
There are those MLP toys at McDonald's if you guys collect toys. Still don't think I'm that large a fan, but from what I've seen they're better than the previous ones from last year. EDIT: No need to double post, but anyway at work I clocked out and when I went to grab my backpack, I noticed someone else's backpack had the Rarity McD's toy. Two Possibilities: 1) Fellow Brony, or 2) Irony Either way, I left a note with the word "brohoof" and left. I've only met one other brony and it was months ago when I wasn't part of the "herd." Figured I couldn't let this one pass, as creepy as it may seem. Edited March 14, 2012 by Atomsk88

CorgiShinobi
I have to say it certainly has more character than other floppy drive music videos. Anywho, I know Malicious is part of a university brony club, but how about the rest of you? Have you found local bronies and met up with them? I just recently joined a Facebook group page with local bronies, but don't know how I feel about meeting up at someone's basement rather than on campus somewhere. Mister Jack
I don't exactly live in a very friendly neighborhood.
CorgiShinobi
I hear ya, and for me the majority of bronies happen to be high school teens. I have less than a year until I graduate college, so while we have a shared interest... it would just be weird, don'cha think? Makes me more motivated in starting a get-together on campus. Little Pirate
I haven't really ran into any bronies in my town. But I'm curious if there is a collection of them around here.

Vargras
New episode was... decent, I suppose? -Fluttershy being assertive again. Yay continuity. -More fuel for the Spike x Rarity shippers, no doubt. She definitely had a 'Mother Bear' vibe in this episode, though. Rather entertaining, if you ask me. -Cranky makes a cameo. Hooray Cranky. -Dragons are jerks. -PHOENIXES. -Hooray, another pet we'll probably never see again.
Mister Jack
This pretty much automatically gives Spike the coolest pet.
Mal
Spike is also a political prisoner.
CorgiShinobi
Definitely one of my favorite episodes yet. Fluttershy's style of bursting through the window, more dragons, Crackle, even Rarity's attitude to Spike. I'm not into the whole "Spike x Rarity," but it goes to show that Rarity isn't taking advantage (what little there was) of him anymore and actually appreciates his company. In fact, I would say this solidifies Spike's role in the group as a valued friend rather than just Twilight's assistant who's here and there. They'll definitely have to address his origin again though. This episode is actually based off an old G1 episode of essentially the same plot. However, I think that series just left Spike as a, "Yelp, I'm a good dragon with pony friends." Can't really fault it since there wasn't anywhere near the quality and narrative of Friendship is Magic.
Mister Jack
Who knows if they'll ever actually address his origin. If they don't, they've already established that he's decided who he is now is more important than where he came from. I would like to see it, though. Celestia ending up with a dragon egg must be one interesting story.
Vargras
While we're at it, can we just get a Celestia episode. Or a Celestia + Luna episode. With a duet. That'd be nice.
CorgiShinobi
I would like to see it, though. Celestia ending up with a dragon egg must be one interesting story. That's what makes it intriguing though, right? For most of the first season it was just, "Twilight Sparkle had a dragon egg that hatched, thus Spike." Once the episode, "The Cutie Mark Chronicles" aired, you find out Twilight received the egg as a test for acceptance into Princess Celestia's school of magic. It's kinda set up as though Spike were kidnapped because if he were rescued, then why is his egg being used as a test? Say his egg was abandoned or lost, like our new phoenix friend, why use it as a test?

CorgiShinobi
What a coincidence... I was about to post that image tonight too! Got a little sidetracked with talking about the newest episode.

Although it isn't mentioned in the show proper, according to Lauren Faust Twilight was the only filly who had to take the egg exam. Celestia saw potential in her to use the Element of Magic when she grew up, and the egg test was Celestia's way to confirm whether or not Twilight was the one she had been waiting on for the past 1,000 years. After Spike was hatched, Celestia raised him like a son. As for how she got the egg, though, that part's still unknown. All she said was that ponies don't know anything about dragons so Celestia took it upon herself to raise him, which makes it doubtful that the egg was stolen. CorgiShinobi
That's great to know. I was beginning to think that we had a little black market going on in Canterlot to supply the school with dragon eggs.
Mal
YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE! YOU WERE POSE TO BRING HARMONY, NOT DESTROY IT! And with that, that is great to know. Didn't know that back story.

There's lots of things from Faust we'll probably never see because she's no longer part of the show/it would never get approved - someone asked her on DA what her viewpoint was on Applejack's parents, to which she said that she thought of them as being dead. Of course, being a kids show, they would never approve that.
Mister Jack
I think them being dead is the best way to go, though. I mean, Apple Bloom is being raised by her siblings and her grandmother. If a pair of ponies came to the farm one day and just went "Hey kids! We're back from our really long vacation!" or whatever then it would make them look like pricks.
Popular Post Vargras
Cropped this from a derptastic frame from the 'Dragon Quest' episode. Added a transparent background, cleaned it up a bit more as well. Someone else vectored it again. Have a reaction image.
