Well they only go and get in the way. Who needs a judiciary when you can just do overly complex signatures on Executive Orders?

Trump and his cabinet have expressed admiration for President Jackson who, when the Supreme Court essentially ruled non-Native Americans could not enter onto tribal lands without a permit, famously said "John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it!" and then proceeded to force the Cherokee to  move from Georgia to the Oklahoma wasteland on foot in the infamous ethnic cleansing incident remembered as the Trail of Tears. We have elected a madman racist tyrant.

Interesting thought when you consider everything (e.g., Resignation/firing of most senior-level State Dept. officials; disregards for the judiciary branch and court orders; Homeland Security Council shakeup and many more) that has happened in the last 9 days that seems to test our institutions. I don't buy it, yet. What I do buy is that they're trying to tire us all out. It has been a really "WTF?" time and I personally can't keep up. I got my life to live and sort out after all. This is where groups like the ACLU comes into play. They can play ball all day if you flush them funds (see Ethan's post re: ACLU donations).

What needs to make sure is that they don't like, as exampled in the above, bring out a ban and then pull back on a small element of it to make it seem like they're backing down when 95% of what they put in place is still there. And yeah I imagine part of it is to tire folks out. It sorta worked in his campaign, just had so much crazy shit, so much stuff that needed fact checking that folks kinda gave up trying to dispute it all.

In US-UK news our Foreign Minister has stated UK passport holders can visit US, which I didn't entirely know was a potential issue. We weren't listed on the banned list afaik.

Also nationwide protests/support going on too, been one in our city centre and twitter feed has a fair few showing, some pretty decent sized ones.

Also I guess best sign:

I'm no master of the handshake, but damn is that a terrible handshake.

Also has no one told him not to pull people? He does it so obviously too, that it kinda loses a lot of its "powerplay" element too. Apparently Ivanka is known for doing it too. Just makes you seem like an asshole to the other person, which in many of these cases are now world leaders.

Also that "look at me" so he looks at the PM *facepalm*

Anywho in other news (cos I guess I can't say "also" three times in a row) I hear China or whoever now has a handy collection of confidential documents handily illuminated and well lit for them by the phones of the staff. He's gonna be last in the chain of receiving global intelligence isn't he.

Game time: +45 Days (on Monday)

Trump casts Redirection: Obama Wiretapped Me

This spell redirects attention from his potential personal connections to the Kremlin to the left field allegation of Obama ordering an illegal wiretap of Trump Tower during the 2016 presidential campaign. All mental willpower will now go to this claim and the original Trump-Russia investigations are now slowed or stalled.

---

I swear, some intern should just give Trump a blowjob in the Oval Office and get this over with.

Dude is all over the place, being all "obama wiretapped me" to picking fights with Schwarzenegger. Also these weekend trips to Mar-a-lago are straight up stealing money from the tax payer. Oh and the "Obama also met with the same russian ambasador that Sessions did"...yeah dude that's cos he's the president and not only allowed to carry out international diplomacy but it's kind of his job.

Saw a tweet this morning that was along lines of it being an increasing possibility he might attempt to pull a Thatcher and go to war with North Korea.

But yeah, it unfortunately worked that news coverage is now about his allegations. But it's all a short term game, after a while it'll just be "oh look Trump tweeted this thing, but hey boy that cried wolf". Also err...it's kinda slander too and FBI are a bit pissed atm cos it's accusing them of conducting illegal acts. And kinda scummy that Brietbart are pretty much acting as the presidents intelligence committee.
