Technically any attack like this could be considered 'terrorism', but it might be a few days before they can confirm if it was related to an anti-American organization or not.  A lot our media really likes to induce paranoia about Korea/Al-Queda, really.  I've been sticking to facts-only news resources.

Apparently some Hollywood level of a chase just went down with regards to the Boston Marathon suspects. Seems like we got them alive?

Social media really makes this series of events really odd.

I don't think that was it.

Apparently a MIT police officer was shot tonight, so it could have been a manhunt for that guy. Though apparently the suspect in that was wearing a gray hoodie and was a white male, somewhat similar to those released FBI photos. So it could be the same guy.

Apparently the police confirmed it.

What the hell is going on in America dudes? Last week it was all "lolol Kim Jong-Un" and now it's all Boston Bombings, Ricin attacks, grenade police chases, sinkholes, Waco explosion.

In other political news:

Obama supposedly is going to veto CISPA.

And Dean, you're watching a series of events (Boston stuff) that might change things. Not to the scale of 9/11 but similar. We won't go to war over this but our domestic policies may change, I feel. Since I mentioned Obama... your move Obama. This series of events is more or less his 9/11.

Eh, I'm allowed to not fully grasp the whole three tier "cheques and balances" stuff US has in place. And yeah I've heard Obama will veto it, which seems somewhat unbalanced. (Though we have the House of Lords, and Queenie, which can veto things, there's not really much of a claim of being balanced).

As for domestic policies changing I can't see it doing as much as 9/11 if anything at all. Especially if it's domestic attack since US law has failed to respond to dozens of high scale domestic attacks so far.

The President's veto isn't an absolute kill to the law, it just means that Congress has to vote again and get a 2/3 majority in both houses.  If both houses can pass it with a 2/3 majority it overrides the veto and the bill becomes a law anyway.  That's where the balance comes in.

"Officials said that the two men were of Chechen origin. Chechnya, a long-disputed, predominantly Muslim territory in southern Russia sought independence after the collapse of the Soviet Union and then fought two bloody wars with the authorities in Moscow. Russian assaults on Chechnya were brutal and killed tens of thousands of civilians, as terrorist groups from the region staged attacks in central Russia. In recent years, separatist militant groups have gone underground, and surviving leaders have embraced fundamentalist Islam."

Yep, nothing good will come from this, as the press has already got ahold of the Muslim link.

Edited to clarify.

I'm saddened more by comments by citizens and residents of the US. Which boils down to "FUCKING MUSLIMS WE'RE GONNA MURDER YOU"

Yep...which just repeats the cycle.

Personally I say, "FUCKING [crazy/insane/inhuman] MUSLIMS! WE'RE GONNA MURDER YOU!!!" Normal Muslims? We coo' man. We coo'.

Honestly...it just makes me sick of people in general.

Though...I do think we need to stop interfering in the middle east.

Surely

"FUCKING [crazy/insane/inhuman] PEOPLE! WE'RE GONNA MURDER YOU!!!"

Would be a slightly better message?

And toning down the world police stuff might be a bit neat. Sure when they're like NK and threaten first it's fine, but in most cases I'd let local regions thrash their own problems out amongst themselves.
