Black Friday

Oh I like the sales, but I'm the only one in my family who actively looks online and through ads for deals.

Amazon has usually had some fantastic deals around the time of Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and some days between and after. Most of my shopping last year was just Amazon and Best Buy online (as far as I remember).

We found the best deals were cyber deals for stock gift items for the kids, like clothes and shit.  We hit Kohl's with some coupons.  Their website was screwed up, so we had to call their sales people.  It took about 3 hours on the phone over a couple of days to get our order placed, but we got some deep-deep discounts on everything.  They not only honored their coupon codes (which their site didn't work on, due to them taking so long to help), but they gave us additional discounts for all of the problems we had.  Because they did that, we also added on some clearance items, like shorts and tees for the kids at sizes for the next year.  Plus, we got back Kohl's cash.  I'll never forget that haul.

Toys R Us had some good stuff in store.  We spent ass-loads of hours at the store and had to deal with the idiot clerk and their system that didn't ring up the correct prices, but it was worth the rise in blood pressure for the money we saved.
