sixrocket
So S. Korea (strange korea) just passed a bill, a bill stating that gamers under 18 will be restricted from playing MP games on all consoles and supposedly PC gaming from the hours of 12 AM - 6 AM. This decision makes me angry as hell. Its the parents job to enforce gaming restrictions, not big brother. Take the goddamn power cable away. The other thing that pissed me off was : People in the comments thread were supporting this decision and stated that the US should enact it. I raged. Your responses? Strangelove
Its sad that it had to resort to that. Is there really nothing better to do in South Korea than game all night?
sixrocket
Well, the kids study all day and play all night. I guess parenting in S. Korea is even more dead than in the US.
Kovach_
Oh wow, must be some MOGEF bullshit again. How will they enforce this tho?
fuchikoma
Probably with the resident registration number tied to their online accounts. :/ Damn. I loved staying up on weekends and playing games into the morning as a teenager. I'd hope that doesn't apply every day. Even then, I wonder what they can do to you if you violate it? Jail for minors? Fine the parents? Cut off their online access (isn't that called a death sentence there?)
Mal
Perhaps they have ways to block websites from the offending minors' computers and/or locking their accounts which ties to their RR#. And lol no, this would never pass here... I think. Its waaaaay too getting into personal business.
