Yantelope V2
I would also lean toward "Loo-mins" because that's how you pronounce an actual measure of light the lumen. Edited February 15, 2012 by Yantelope V2
Hot Heart
Loo-mins. Make it 'Luminus' if you want it pronounced that way and to give it an air of Latin, stupid devs. I pronounce Nier like tier...which sounds like near. Yantelope V2
20XX is always pronounced twenty x-ty x.
Saturnine Tenshi
It's pronounced like HH and TME pronounce it. It's ニーア in Japanese, pronounced knee-ah, which is just their adaptation of the word. You'll usually find the romanization everywhere in Japanese ads. deanb
Bass - Which is fair enough because it's not spelt base, and bass fish is actually pronounced like brass. If it wasn't for the "totally addicted to bass" song I may have gone on through life pronouncing it treble and b-ass. There was another word too but I forgot. MasterDex
Looking back on this thread, I'm surprised one word hasn't made it in here, on the internet of all things - meme. It's Me-Me. No, shut up! It's Me-Me! Yes, I know it's really Meme, as in Gene but It's still Me-Me to me, god damn it! Also, I'm still undecided which pronunciation of Oregano I prefer. Or-egg-a-no or O-rey-gah-no? The latter is what I'm most used to pronouncing and I've heard plenty of people doing the same but it seems I hear the former more and more these days. I think I like the sound of Or-egg-a-no better....or do I? Edited August 23, 2012 by MasterDex
TheFlyingGerbil
the latter is the british (and I guess irish) pronunciation. the former is american. guess that's why you're hearing it more and more as american culture infects the rest of the world.
