excel_excel
Its tiny, a lot more compact, loads more info on each screen. And cloud saves?! When did they mention that?! Pretty cool!
Johnny
I like cloud saving, but the interface itself seems to be... meh, it's not awful, but I don't think it's good enough to justify having to re-learn it all.
Mister Jack
Netflix is fucking terrible now.
Vile
Netflix is fucking terrible now. I'm with you. They fucking removed the Watch With Party option, which was a good 40% of the time I was using my 360. I loved watching things with my girlfriend, and now we have to do a fucking countdown even for Netflix.
Mister Jack
And even if that weren't an issue (which it is), the new layout is just bad. It's ugly, confusing, and obtrusive. About the only improvement is being able to search for something by hitting Y. Edited December 7, 2011 by Mister Jack
Faiblesse Des Sens
Ugly? Metro is far from ugly. Anyways, you JUST downloaded it. Give it some time.
TheMightyEthan
I think he meant Netflix is ugly, and Netflix isn't Metro. I agree it's ugly, but it's still more usable than the PS3 version. At least you can see more than 3 movies on the screen at a time.
Thorgi Duke of Frisbee
I do not like the Netflix changes, either. Especially since the way they handle the Kinect integration isn't the best; I just want to say "Xbox New Releases", but instead I have to keep saying "Next List" or "Previous List" to scroll through the different categories. Hot Heart
It'll take some getting used to, but I think it's OK. I'm just happy that everything seems to be loading a little quicker. Other than that, I'm sure I'll be able to find my way around easily enough.
RockyRan
How is the in-game Xbox Menu? Any different from the previous UI? Because that'd be my only reason to lug my 360 all the way to my room to update and haul it back afterward. Also, I presume ads are still generously shoved in your face at launch? One of the big reasons why I don't connect my 360 to the 'net. Well, that and the fact that I refuse to pay for online functionality. I get to save money AND not be subjected to ads. Neat. deanb
What the shit. And here I thought the whole Skyrim E/R thing was bad. Oh n for anyone else who didn't notice, the new TOS waive your right to class action lawsuit (I did say more n more companies will be doing it)
Chewblaha
I HADN'T EVEN NOTICED THEY SWITCHED THOSE AROUND. WHAT THE FUCK?! Fucking NXE had everything clearly labeled in giant letters that I could navigate around. Now I spent five minutes looking for the Marketplace last night when it was literally some giant box with an advertisement. Not liking this thing AT ALL. Not everyone has a goddamn Kinect. Faiblesse Des Sens
You're bitching about missing a GIANT BOX. You're clearly just not used to it yet, and that's your only real complaint. Oh n for anyone else who didn't notice, the new TOS waive your right to class action lawsuit (I did say more n more companies will be doing it) Cloud storage after Sony, taking away the right to participate in a suit after Sony. At least MS finally caught up.
Popular Post Chewblaha
Maybe next Microsoft will leave the front door open so hackers can steal the personal and credit card information of their entire userbase. Chewblaha
Then they can introduce Microsoft House. A shitty game/social network.

madbassman39
I've use it for about a month. I also LOVE the metro UI, so I was more than excited to try this out. I'm disappointing that the main box is an ad and not the game in the disk tray. The switching of the X and Y buttons didn't bother me all that much because I would always press Y to eject because I was used to pressing triangle on the PS3, so this was more natural to me. Still stupid that they did it though. I'm overall less than enthusiastic about this update, everything has been made smaller, but it looks good. Metro is great functionality and style working together, but this doesn't feel like Metro, it feels like a half assed wanna be Metro. Overall, its not as good as the last one, but I can't help but like it because of the Metro look... plus the Xbox Companion app on my phone . Chewblaha
I don't think that the big square is an ad. It's just a giant marketplace button.
Waldorf and Statler
My problem is that Microsoft is taking no user input whatsoever. They're being these stubborn little children over a lot of the suggestions. Also the whole deal with Netflix being fucking shitty now.
Faiblesse Des Sens
Most of their users are idiots so it's understandable to just ignore things and push Metro but I wouldn't be surprised if there's an update that refines the experience. Waldorf and Statler
If you read the suggestions in the Beta website, you would see that the majority of the suggestions with the most votes is stuff we're all thinking about [aka ads, netflix, tile rearrangement, etc...] and some of it would literally require a quick change in the code. But Microsoft is basically telling us that the beta is not meant for user input, just to find bugs. I really do hope there's a gigantic fucking backlash over how stupid the new netflix app is. I don't give two walrus tits about the look itself, just bring back the functionality of the previous app and keep the subtitles. Problem fucking solved. Faiblesse Des Sens
Honestly, you think they're going to alter ads and tile placement? Tiles are placed in a way where they think they'll make more money off you, and the ads are there to make money off you. That's the sad reality of the situation. Talk with your wallet. Unsubscribe. You are paying for a half-assed service with ads that doesn't care about anything but your wallet. I got fed up with it ages ago. I think the only reason the rest of you are still there is because your friends are still on it and/or you can't afford a gaming PC/PS3.

Waldorf and Statler
The only reason I'm still here is due to simply preferring the feel of the 360 in general. The controller, the look, everything.
TheMightyEthan
You know what the one suggestion I have is? Get rid of that fucking grey plane that blocks half the background image of the themes YOU sell! WTF?
