TheMightyEthan
So a PS4 bundle has appeared for preorder on a Spanish retailer's site. This pretty much confirms it's coming to PS4, since I highly doubt a retailer would go through all the trouble of mocking up a fake bundle that includes a branded satchel. The only other option is that this is all part of an elaborate April Fool's joke.
Strangelove
Yeah, this actually seems legit. It just seems like too much work to fake it. I do like that bag though. It seems almost exactly like the inFAMOUS 2 Hero Edition bag. That bag was awesome and really well made. Been using it for years...well since inFAMOUS 2 came out. TheMightyEthan
PS4 version confirmed! I'm disappointed that it's $60 instead of $40, but I'm still pretty tempted. *Edit* - Apparently the banner's still up, so you can see it for yourself. Strangelove
I'd complain about the price, but the game in actuality isn't even a year old and still retails for $60 on ps3. Not to mention that it'll probably contain the dlc. And most importantly, we're not the people this is meant for, it's mostly being rereleased for 360 fans who switched over to ps4. So I can also assume that the upgrade won't be huge either. Not like Tomb Raider did it. I'm still getting it though. Just an excuse to play it over again. With a better controller and hopefully 60fps.
TCP
Tomb Raider was full retail price when it was rereleased so I guess this makes sense, especially with the DLC included.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll be getting it. I only rented it on PS3, and haven't played the DLC yet. I'll probably do a run through where I use a guide to find all the little collectible things.
TCP
It does have a new game+ that unlocks after you beat the main game, so I'm hoping this is crosssave so when I do play it again I can play the game+. EDIT: Apparently it's 69.99 in Canada... fuck you Sony. I'm not paying MORE for a game that I payed last year. THAT'S STUPID! TheMightyEthan
Oh I'm probably gonna get it, I was just hoping it would be $40.
Mr. GOH!
It will be $40 eventually.
deanb
Captains Log. Stardate 24710.616438356283 Last of Us continues to defy basic economics, especially since moving away from a monetary system altogether some two hundred years ago, and continues to retail for $60. Also lol at the 200 GOTY awards. When you've that many awards it definetly loses all meaning. Games industry really needs to figure out what it's Oscar alternative is (at least in the US, we've got our shit covered in UK)
Strangelove
Best Buy is showing June 20th as the release date and Gamestop is showing June 27th. I hope it's true. Though Friday is a weird date to release it. And June is the one year anniversary of TLoU. Makes sense.
TCP
TLoU came out on Friday originally. So did Infamous. Sony loves Friday releases.
TheMightyEthan
Friday is the standard day in Europe. Honestly it makes more sense to me to release it on the same day world wide rather than artificially delaying it by 3 days in one territory. Strangelove
It's an hour long, but it's pretty rad. There's also a Bioshock Infinite one too which is also just as good.
danielpholt
GAME (UK retailer) 'accidentally' tweeted that TLoU would be hitting PS4 in the coming days, although they've since retracted that statement. Overexcited employee or something more? I didn't play the game on PS3, and I'm currently desperate for something to play on my PS4. Payday is a week away, if this comes out soon, it might be an impulse buy.
TheMightyEthan
I can't imagine they'd not give enough of a lead to get some preorders going.

TheMightyEthan
I would be all over that shit. I'm hesitant to get it for $60, but $35? Fuck yes.
SomTervo
Ain't no way that's gonna happen, unless they give us last-gen owners a PS3-PS4 upgrade option. Within a month or two it'll probably drop to that amount, though. Look how quickly Tomb Raider Remastered dropped in price. In other news: hello again. EDIT: On the topic of who should play Joel in the movie, I've been watching the utterly mediocre American Horror Story. It's mediocre indeed, but this Dylan McDermott guy looks quite a lot like Joel and has the same timbre of voice and is just as tall. Less goofy/ mindless looking than Brolin. He played a serial killer in season 2 and if you imagine his accent being Texan, he's really really close to Joel. A beard completes the picture. I imagine after AmHoSto he'll be free for plenty o movies. TheMightyEthan
I decided I'm not buying it until it's down at least to $40. I already rented and played the PS3 version, and while I wouldn't mind playing it again and I definitely want to play the DLC, I don't $60 want to play it.
