Thursday Next
I think a game of I Am Legend would be incredible. I am Legend the book? Cos that Will Smith film got it very wrong.
TheMightyEthan
There was an alternate ending that was much closer to the book. I don't know why they fucked over the theatrical one like that. I may have actually said "What? NO!" in the theater when it ended.
CorgiShinobi
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/121/1214839p1.html New concept art from the UK PlayStation Magazine. Just so people remember, Ellie (the girl) said ever since she could remember the world has been like this. The plague/whatever could have happened perhaps, what, at least 12-15 years from their current time? Yet you look at all the vegetation and it would have to be maybe a few more decades. My favorite is the one with Interstate 5.
deanb
First image looks like I am Legend. It's sounding a bit "Day of the Triffids" (there was a recent TV movie, worth a watch)
Connorrrr
Sounds like they're trying to do what Techland SAID they were going to do with Dead Island, which is good. If anyone can do it, it's Naughty Dog.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I'm cautiously optimistic that this will not be just another zombie game.

In the trailer they said something about it being a spore attack or something like that, so I just assumed that the vegetation grew particularly fast because of the spores enhanced it? I don't know. The art really makes me excited for the game, and I know Naughty Dog will put their best foot forward in this project.

Because a spore attack does, and like Ethan said, one of those screenshots really did. I'm fairly confident in Naughty Dog to at least make the enemies behave different, though. I dont know anything about the Flood, and that monster thing I posted was more or less something I found on the internet to say what I thought would be really cool, so that may have been a Concept drawing of the Flood

Connorrrr
The environments have a very Enslaved feel to them (If any of you fuckers played that game! If you didn't, shame on you.) I am a big fan of the whole nature taking over the cities environment design.

I am a big fan of the whole nature taking over the cities environment design. *hangs head* I bought Enslaved for $20 when that was a good price, and still haven't gotten around to it. I actually started moving with it a week or two ago, but then got derailed by who-knows-what. I really do need to get around to the whole thing, the game seems pretty darned solid so far. And yeah, I'm a big fan of that type of aesthetic as well.

I think it's a damn shame it didn't sell better, it really was fantastic. I must've been one of like ten people who brought it on launch day, hahaha... But seriously, I recommended it to many people but few people bit. It has really solid story-telling and the environment design is absoloutely beautiful, and an amazing performance from Andy Serkis. ...Ahem. Yeah, The Last of Us looks cool. Luftwaffles
I must say, that screenshot looks a lot like a more serious, less cartoony version of the environments in Bulletstorm, which I absolutely loved. If they can pull off that kind of environment half as well as Bulletstorm did it'd make the game instantly better. I'm a sucker for living, breathing levels. Strangelove
Enslaved is indeed awesome. The fighting mechanics needed work and the game is short, but its worth playing. Its a good experience.
Connorrrr
http://www.computerandvideogames.com/334398/the-last-of-us-first-details-arrive/ All seems pretty standard so far... And this passed me by, as we were talking about enslaved... http://www.computerandvideogames.com/329270/the-last-of-us-gets-enslaved-lead-designer-doesnt-star-ellen-page/ Lead designer for Enslaved is also working on this. TheMightyEthan
I bought Enslaved for $20. Thought it was worth that. Wouldn't call it awesome, but I enjoyed it.
TCP
The enviroments do look like Enslaved, which could be good, because that was pretty much the only good thing about that game.
SomTervo
Enslaved was definitely good, could have been a lot better though. I hope they go for more violence and grit in this. And survival game mechanics. I <3 survival game mechanics. Just loaded Minecraft up for the first time in months the other day, and when I saw they added a 'hunger' system honestly nearly creamed my pants. Also, this isn't the end of Uncharted, is it? I'm sure they said they planned on more iterations in that series, this just seems like a parallel other series.
Connorrrr
I can't imagine Naughty Dog leaving Uncharted behind for a very long time, at least. I guess with this they're just spreading their wings into new territory (something I fully endorse, can't make Uncharted games forever). Strangelove
I actually dont see a new Uncharted game coming out till the PS4. I dont have any evidence or facts, its just a gut feeling.
SomTervo
Yeah true, Uncharted's definitely left it's mark. They'll probably let it lie for a bit. Ja Connor, they're prolly just going a different artistic and stylistic direction to keep their minds fresh.
Strangelove
Mostly because I think Sony is going to need a big game or 2 to launch their PS4, and I think Uncharted 4 would be the perfect way to do it, especially if its 2 or 3 years from now, when nostalgia will be in full force. I know id get a PS4 just for Uncharted 4. Honestly, as long as Naughty Dog remains exclusive to Sony consoles, Ill keep buying Playstations.
