Popular Post Cyber Rat Posted December 23, 2011 Popular Post Report Share Posted December 23, 2011 Since I'm guessing a lot of you will be away the next couple of days, visiting family and such, might as well start a thread now. I've had a bittersweet year, with some serious ups and some very serious downs, but this community and the PXOD site contributed greatly to the ups. If I hadn't been a writer for the main site, I wouldn't have nailed the desperately needed job I have now and I don't even want to think about where I'd be without it, but I know I'd be far worse off. While it maybe seems like I'm only marginally active here, it's the forum I'm most active on, and certainly the one I spend the most time reading (lurking) when I'm not posting. It's one of the most useful links I've seen posted in a Kotaku comments section, it's a good thing I sifted through the angry posts that day. WTF Posted December 27, 2011 Report Share Posted December 27, 2011 That's the thing about getting older, the breaks seem a lot shorter than they should be, on the other hand the years are shorter too. I'm off properly for the first time in 3 years for Christmas (Normally I'd either be working or end up getting sympathy visits because I'd have the flu. It's nice to not have the flu during the holidays and my birthday I'm actually a bit confused and sort of clear of head during the break that I want to focus on enjoying myself. Next year's already full of work and I don't really know if I'll be gaming outside of portables to be honest because of the travel but here's hoping that nothing major happens when I am off at work.
