Strangelove
Dammit, now I have to move stuff over from the other thread. Ugh. Â /whitepeopleproblems
P4: Gritty Reboot
I hope to put more entries in here than I was able to for 2011. BioShock 2, The Witcher, Super Meat Boy, a few Wii games, and plenty of PC indie titles remain in my leftover pile from last year.
MetalCaveman
Completed the Rock of Ages campaign yesterday. Really fun game, love the cutscenes they have.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yf3ql0rtZJs

peteer01
Does surviving all the waves of Killing Floor count? I don't see how else you "beat" that game...
WTF
Sonic Generations (though need to finish S Ranking) MGS2 and 3 (well it was over the holidays so) [Platinumed 3]
Masonvrocks
How on Earth did you Platinum 3? Did you use a guide for the Kerotans? How many resets did it take? (Isn't there a trophy for never being seen once?)
WTF
I just did every Kerotan that I came across but after killing each Kerotan I went to the next area and saved or in case it was in a boss-fight I just made sure I killed it again in case stuff happened. I knew there were a few in the bike segments (Those were annoying) so for that particular segment I saved and reloaded a fair few times. The thing about MGS3 is that your state isn't saved until you move to a new area so if you want to save all the things you got you needed to move to a new area. It took me a total of 16 hours and 1.2 playthroughs (Basically I got all the kerotans after I finished two areas after the virtuous mission, it seems like if you've shot them once in a playthrough it counts to the total tally). There's no trophy for alerts, that's in MGS 2 (I got that since it was easy.I would have platinumed it if I had the time to play it through multiple difficulties to get the bandanas and play the other missions). In MGS3 you just need to avoid killing people. You can either play it on very easy and have the ez gun to make it simple or unlock it after one playthrough of collecting the tchinoko (don't eat it!) or of course you can make sure you don't kill people and just use a tranq gun. MGS3 outside of Kerotans is really easy to platinum you can do it in one playthrough if you've got the time and know where the locations are. My wife finished MGS3 3 or 4 times and I'd played it once before (plus I like to explore) so we managed it in a few days.
Masonvrocks
Damn, took me 13 hours with 64% trophies =/. I still don't think I've got the hang of the controls for that game, even after two palythroughs. Don't think I could ever do it with no kills. deanb
I beat Fable 3. Since I knew about the 100 day jump I managed to raise the cash before hand (not that it was too hard, I got pretty good with property management on Assassins Creed too. I like that sort of stuff) Â It's all rather good, the quests and side stories still rather fun (the overall story was actually pretty good, was pretty moving in the desert) My main issue would be there was a large amount of hidden item quests (the gnomes, books and flowers total around 120 or so items to find) and it's all rather dull that all you can do with villagers is hold down A until they then send you on a fetch quests n hold A some more etc etc. It'd be nice to have some proper actual convos with them. And at least it wasn't over with a single tap of Y like the last boss (Which at the very least they did acknowledge in one of the sidequests) Â It's a good game for getting folks into RPGs, but it does mean if you're a veteran it's somewhat shallow. TheMightyEthan
I'm not sure why that last jump caught people by surprise, there's a similar jump a little bit earlier unguarded sectionthat should have put them on notice that might happen. Â Doesn't make it any less stupid, but people should have seen it coming. Edited January 8, 2012 by TheMightyEthan fixed typo
TheMightyEthan
Just beat Skyrim. 76 hours in. Consider it "beat" now that I've finished the Dovahkiin and the civil war quest chains, though I still haven't done anywhere close to everything. FMW
I just got my first gaming PC ever so I can pull ahead to a really early lead this year because I have a huge Steam library that I've never been able to touch. Just in the past 7 days I have played and beaten:  Bastion (twice! I love this game to death) Batman Arkham Asylum (100% riddler completion) Batman Arkham City (not 100% riddler completion, but I just finished it 5 hours ago. I'll get there.) Plants vs. Zombies (closing in on 100% completion)  And there will be more to come! I'm currently in the progress of playing: Dragon Age Origins Shin Megami Tensei Digital Devil Saga 2 Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor  None of which I have previously completed.
Strangelove
Just finished Deus Ex HR. Awesome game. Ill definitely replay it. Picking the ending was tough, but I went with Darrow. Â I guess I could do a little minireview. The bosses were cool, but actually fighting them was not. Visually, the game is kind of unstable. It looks good, but a lot of the animation is questionable. Everyone besides Adam moves weird and wobbles a lot while they talk. Its very distracting. Adam, Darrow and the bosses are the only ones that look good and detailed, everyone else looks meh as hell. Its ok to make the pedestrians and the regular characters look shitty, but people like Sarif and Reed look crappy too. Weird. I REALLY REALLY REALLY wish this had a new game +. Any game where you level up or gain abilities should have a new game plus. Especially since its pretty impossible to level up everything in one playthrough. Thankfully theres an infinite experience glitch Im going to abuse on my second playthrough. Â Thats just the bad stuff really, everything else about the game is awesome. Great gameplay, great story, great aesthetic. Edited January 9, 2012 by Strangelove
Thursday Next
Finished Arkham City (story). Need to crack on with the last couple of sidequests and riddly diddly trophies.
Hot Heart
I'm not sure why that last jump caught people by surprise, there's a similar jump a little bit earlier unguarded sectionthat should have put them on notice that might happen. Â Doesn't make it any less stupid, but people should have seen it coming. I wasn't caught out because I'd heard about it (plus, it is very easy to amass a huge amount of money if you start early), but no way is there that significant a jump earlier during that section. It seems to go forward 30-50 days or something like that then jumps 100+ into the very end.
Kovach_
Bastion (just did the ending again for the other choice tho), started a new game + the other day, but don't really feel like playing it again so soon. If i played anytime soon i'd start hating it and i don't want that. Also finished Space Marine, great game. Few lore hickups here and there, nothing too major (i'm still giving you the stink eye melta), but it captured the whole 40k feel just right. Working on MP right now, super fun. deanb
Yeah the previous jumps are about 30-50. In fact it goes 365 - 339 - 294 - 252 - 121 - 1 day (Turns out there is a big jump, but only just before. Still after 4 jumps of about 40 days you might not be paying too much attention at that point) Â On PC they've made it more obvious my shifting when you commission your army to day 121, so as to make it a tad more obvious I think. It's still not like screaming bells n whistles of "if you activate this quest now and you have 4.9million in your personal treasury in order to get that key, you're fucked"
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I think the 252-121 jump was when I went "oh shit", panicked, and moved all my money into the national treasury.
FMW
I add to my list: VVVVVV! Â Bastion (twice! I love this game to death) Batman Arkham Asylum (100% riddler completion) Batman Arkham City (not 100% riddler completion, but I just finished it 5 hours ago. I'll get there.) Plants vs. Zombies (closing in on 100% completion) VVVVVV (as much clever level design in 3 hours as Skyrim has period)
FMW
And apparently I can't edit my previous post so I'll make a new one. Because yes, in 24 hours I beat ANOTHER game! This time it was Zelda Phantom Hourglass. It's not BAD exactly but... I think it's easily the worst Zelda game. My list is now: Â Bastion (twice! I love this game to death) Batman Arkham Asylum (100% riddler completion) Batman Arkham City (not 100% riddler completion, but I just finished it 5 hours ago. I'll get there.) Plants vs. Zombies (closing in on 100% completion) VVVVVV (as much clever level design in 3 hours as Skyrim has period) Zelda Phantom Hourglass (worst Zelda game ever)
TheMightyEthan
lol, you don't need to post the entire list every time.
TCP
Ugh Phantom Hourglass was so frustrating, especially considering how awesome the first four portable Zelda's were.
