Games You've Beat in 2012

Just finished Sly Raccoon. I've never played it before and really enjoyed it, more than I did Banjo Kazooie. I started it at the same time as 3D Dot Game Heroes which It kept me away from even though 3DDGH is the one I was actually looking forward to playing. Glad you could get the platinum trophy without doing the speed runs as I'm rubbish at that sort of thing. It's only my second ever platinum, and was really easy to get if anyone is into that sort of thing.

It's the first HD upgrade game I've played and I think it looked really good. Quite looking forwrd to the other two now, though I think I'll space them out a bit.

Journey. It was fantastic.

That game sounds like a trip.

I'm not even sure how to describe it. If you were to judge based on gameplay elements and try to explain it to someone, it'd sound terrible. I dunno, though, it all just comes together so nicely. I couldn't put it down.

I'll have to say that the camaraderie developed in Journey is beyond any other game I've played, though. I had to take a phone call in the middle of playing, and the guy I was playing with sat there with me until I came back. So of course, when he had to do something, I did the same for him. Then when we hit the ending.. oh jeez. Don't want to spoil anything.

I usually dislike games like Journey, but this was different. A completely unique experience.

Dean: ...enslaved...

Tried getting through that game in October but I got really frustrated....

when you make it back to her village, have to do some bullshit with a windmill, and then it's just waves and waves of mech's attacking you, over and over again. It was trying to be a bit Uncharted like, but it just didn't nail down the formula I think. And for a game that combat focused, the combat could have been improved.

That's the worst bit of the game in my opinion, I gave it up for about half a year at that point. If you get past that it's nowhere near as stupid for the rest of it.

I passed this part earlier. In two tries. You guys suck.

They didn't say they failed at that part, just that it was stupid and they hated it and stopped playing. I remember that part from my playthrough too, and while I didn't think it was hard I did think it was irritating.

@Strangelove: Yeah, that's kinda how I felt. I enjoyed playing it a lot, even though I was let down by the lack of side stuff available.

AC:R

I like the AC games so it was enjoyable, last I played was AC:B a few months after it came out so I'm paced out enough on the games for them to not be dragging on. It actually brought in some new info n all that lot at the end too. I wish maybe these games might pace that stuff out though instead of some final end of game thing.

The bombs were fun to play with, though not a required addition. The portal-like segment as Desmond (or as..well nothing) were kind of annoying, platforming in first person isn't so enjoyable, especially when you're having to build the platforms where you're looking.

June 29 on your side of the pond.

*Edit* - And yeah, I'm super excited too. The only reason I haven't preordered yet is because Amazon isn't offering release date delivery yet.
