TheMightyEthan
Well like I said it was fun, it's just not anywhere near long enough.
Hot Heart
Finished my first game of 2012...a game from 2010. Got the first ending for Nier. Guess I'll probably go for the other endings too. Wanted to find a damn Eagle Egg or Feather to be able to make the Phoenix Spear even more over-powered. Plus, I never actually used any of the magic spells besides the Lance and Blast...never found them that useful or necessary.
Faiblesse Des Sens
You'll blaze through the other endings. I think I did them all in a day or two. One of the endings involve fighting a harder boss from what I remember correctly but you don't need the upgrades if you don't feel like doing them. Kovach_
Wanted to find a damn Eagle Egg or Feather to be able to make the Phoenix Spear even more over-powered. You will never find those. Unless you don't mind going in and out of Aerie 500 times.
TheMightyEthan
Hydrophobia: Prophecy. I enjoyed it. Took about 3 hours.
toxicitizen
I'm more than a decade late on this one but I finally beat StarCraft! Man, that last Protoss mission was a pain in the ass. Think I'll take a break with another game before getting started on Brood War, though. Maybe Diablo II.
ADIRTYWINDOW
Mirror's Edge. I felt it was too short and it could have delved a little deeper into the characterization of Faith & Pals. Mirror's Edge felt a lot like a concept game akin to the first Portal. If there is ever a ME2 then I hope it greatly expands on its characters and the world they live in(story-wise). Also, it is a shame about the DLC unavailability for the Steam version.
Faiblesse Des Sens
Mirror's Edge had a story?
deanb
By Terry Pratchetts daughter (iirc she was brought in towards the end of the project, as seems to be standard with a fair few games)

FMW
Actually, I think I DO need to post my entire list every time I finish the game. Then I feel proud and accomplished. Today I'm adding a weird retro game, Mother. It never released in the US, it was the NES prequel to Earthbound. I liked it. It did everything right but game design. And I had a walkthrough to guide me through My list is now: Bastion (twice! I love this game to death) Batman Arkham Asylum (100% riddler completion) Batman Arkham City (not 100% riddler completion, but I just finished it 5 hours ago. I'll get there.) Plants vs. Zombies (closing in on 100% completion) VVVVVV (as much clever level design in 3 hours as Skyrim has period) Zelda Phantom Hourglass (worst Zelda game ever) Mother (very fun with a walkthrough, pointless and impossible and frustrating without)
TheMightyEthan
lol, just do what I'm doing and keep a list in a text file on your computer, and then post the whole thing at the end of the year.
DocSeuss
Yay, Serious Sam 3: BFE is not complete! That was ridiculously fun.
P4: Gritty Reboot
Beat Kirby Epic Yarn co-op with my son. That was a blast. And finally finished every Spec Ops mission on Veteran in MW3. What a ride.
WTF
Halo Anniversary with my brother (It was alright, thought we both realised that since we're now playing CE 10 years from now, it really doesn't hold up. It's ok but eh) Tales of the Abyss 3DS (I really enjoyed this game) Story Mode in SC
MetalCaveman
Final Fantasy XIII, fun game, but the last chapter was incredibly annoying.
deanb
Dammit. I wanted to beat you. When I heard you had difficulty in Tejins tower I thought I'd be in with a chance. If I hadn't gone to Pulse/slept last night I coulda done it.
toxicitizen
Diablo II. The base game only, not the expansion. Although, I can't imagine it's going to take me long to beat that as well. Such an awesome game. I can't believe it's taken me this long to give it a shot. I'll probably be playing the first one soon (as well as Torchlight). Kinda sucks that Blizzard aren't selling it on their website, though. I would buy it in a heartbeat. That and WarCraft 2. It was actually kind of refreshing to play semi retro games like this and StarCraft. I think I'll try to make it a point this year to revisit some classics and actually play some of those I've never even tried like Baldur's Gate and Planescape Torment. Call it a late new year's resolution. Edited February 5, 2012 by FLD

deanb
I've had Van, Hope n Fang for pretty much the last two(now three I guess) chapters. Strong healing, strong magic and physical, syn n sab to change the tables, and sentinel for when it goes tits up.
Strangelove
I had a lot of fun with it, but it had some problems. Compared to the Galaxy games and even SMW, this game is short. It really needed more power-ups. It needed more than 3 bosses. I HATE that I cant fly with the tanooki suit. I know it would have made the game piss easy, but fuck them. Not only that, but during the end credits Mario and a bunch of Toads start...flying in their tanooki suits! Nintendo is trolling. Also, why the hell did everyone int hat game have a tanooki tail? It was pretty pointless. Other than that, this is one of the best Mario games Ive ever played. If you have a 3DS, you have to get it. MetalCaveman
I've had Van, Hope n Fang for pretty much the last two(now three I guess) chapters. Strong healing, strong magic and physical, syn n sab to change the tables, and sentinel for when it goes tits up. I don't know why every strategy I saw online involves Hope, to me, he was the most useless character available, he always died in 1 or 2 hits. I used Lightning, Fang and Vanille or Lightning, Fang and Sazh.
DocSeuss
Infamous 2 was beaten. Right now, it's the only reason I have to own a PS3 (beyond the fact that my PS3 is also a PS2+HDMI). When I get the cash, I plan on picking up that space thing. I'd beat Conker: Live and Reloaded, but I'm at the bit where you have to steer a guy with TNT strapped to his back through a maze of hopping, sentient crates. deanb
I've got a Diamond Bangle on him sure, but he's the best at magic, he's got a mean amount of synergist abilities, and great healing.
VicariousShaner
My first game beaten (for the first time) in 2012 is Grand Theft Auto 4! A bit late, but better late than never!
