Hot Heart
Although, I think UC3 gives you a bit more room in which to run around. Even if the running around is to try and find more ammo because you keep running out... I think the challenge was better though. I found myself moving around a lot more, even utilising blindfire because it was handy. UC2 felt a bit stop-and-pop at times.

One part that sticks out is that section in the shipwreck area where you have both the water and multiple ships to move between with enemies all over the place. Hot Heart
Oh, man. I hated that bit. Well, I hated being shot down before I could even get a decent weapon. And it felt like enemies could spot you rather easily, while it was hard to get a whole look at the area anyway. The actual fighting was pretty intense, and I was surviving by the skin of my teeth for some parts. Dodge away from grenades, get round cover against those other guys, leap over the edge to avoid the bullet sponge, chuck him down five feet to his death, grab the turret... Strangelove
So, I never finished Ocarina of Time 3D. And I never am. I played it for at least 15-20 hours and im near the end, but I really didnt like it. I apologize to people who think this is truly the greatest game ever made, but I dont see it. Maybe back in 1998 it was, but in 2012 it is not. There are tons of better games now and id rather play those. I know for a fact that ill never get nostalgic and replay it, so i might as well sell it and put the money towards ME3.
TheMightyEthan
Â I don't see Ocarina of Time being the greatest game ever either. It's a really good game, and I still play my GameCube copy from time to time, but it's not the best game ever. I think the appeal for me is just nostalgia combined with the fact that it is a solid game. Â *Edit* - Back to Uncharted, of the three this was my favorite. Part of that though was that by this point in the series I was used to them starting to rely on goddamn stupid bullet sponges late in the game, so I was less reluctant to turn down the difficulty when it got unfun, thus saving myself from frustration and improving my impression of the game. Oddly, playing through this series has made me both more and less excited for The Last of Us; more because I see that Naughty Dog really can craft a very compelling game, and less because I worry that they'll fall back into the same combat patterns as this. Combat was not Uncharted's strength, though it did improve throughout the series. Edited March 3, 2012 by TheMightyEthan

deanb
Final Fantasy XIII-2. Â It solved much of the complaints of XIII, though it maybe introduces a few of its own. The game is very lore heavy, and it seems they want to built up this universe some more, though with Versus and Agito did imply this I guess. It does however have a bit of a sucky story. The ending of the boss is a bit sucky especially. Â He kills himself. Something he could have done at any point n sorted it all out. Â Also Lightening drops in about 90% near the end and fills you in on what's going on n such. So yeah, the spoiler could have done with a bit more of a spit polish. Â The time line stuff helped with the pacing I guess. It meant you could go "okay, I'm bored with this area for now, let's go hit the chocobo races up" or "let's go monster hunting" etc. So that was my main complaint of XIII gone. The Crytstarium got a revamp that I wasn't 100% keen on, hard to explain why without explaining how the Crystarium works. The battle system was much the same, which I enjoyed the battle system so that's fine it's the same. Â Â The ending is..something. Oh and ends with a "To be continued". Nexus
Skyrim's main quest. Â I can't help but feel disappointed. The whole last few quests just seem really flat. I've had a lot more fun faffing with side quests. Have lost any will to play it anymore now. Fail.
CorgiShinobi
That one game known as "Mass Effect 2." Â Did everything, even Arrival, except for a few Anomaly assignments. I already reached Lv. 30 so what would be the point? I always intended my first playthrough to be my "Me" character. I don't have enough time to try out alternate classes and go all Renegade. I maxed out the Paragon bar, but have like a quarter Renegade. Â I also fell like I wasted money on fish. You pretty much have to feed them after every mission. I thought I could take care of them after the first time they died, but things started to pick up and next thing you know I have about 20,000 credits wasted. Of course, even so I doubt I would have had enough credits to get every single upgrade. Probably could have tried to get "5/5" rather than "7/7" on a few. Hot Heart
I can't remember how exactly, but you can get Kelly Chambers to look after your fish for you. Too late now though. Apparently, ME3 has an auto fish-feeder available to buy. Edited March 4, 2012 by Hot Heart
TheMightyEthan
I remember on one of my plathroughs Kelly said she would feed my fish, but then they died anyway.
Hot Heart
Must have been a NG+ playthrough where that consequence is left in stone. I really hope the fate of the galaxy didn't depend on them.

CorgiShinobi
As for Kelly feeding your fish, I looked it up and it's where you have dinner with her in your room. After recruiting team members, you can begin flirting with her to a point where she would like to have dinner. Â I thought for sure this would lead to a relationship, which it could, so I decided the "Me Too" option to get to know her later. Wouldn't have mattered for me since I prolonged the crew's rescue by building up team's loyalty. If you don't head for the Omega 4 Relay when prompted earlier, she and most of the human Normandy crew will be liquified. Â Meh.
Yantelope V2
I finished From Dust and Bulletstorm this weekend. From Dust got a little dull near then end. The whole "we're back to where we started" ending is such a cop out too. Â Bulletstorm was pretty fun. not killing Sorano at the end was stupid. dumb setups for sequels that are never going to happen are dumb. With all the emphasis on "kill with skill" I thought there'd be some really over the top death reserved for Sorano so I was disappointed. deanb
Finished Mass Effect 3. I got bored very fast of being a cripple so I W'ed it to the end. Â It's a bit of a let down for the end of the series, but it's closure at least. I look forward to ignoring all other Bioware titles in the future. TheMightyEthan
Also beat Mass Effect 3. Took me 37 hours. But I did every side quest I found and I also read every single codex entry.

TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I thought it was pretty awesome. I have a few complaints, but they're fairly minor to the overall experience. Â Definitely felt like they improved every game system over ME2.
Strangelove
What did you play as? I was a vanguard. They REALLY made that class way better than it used to be. Biotic charge, then nova is an awesome combination.

Take one weapon (shotgun, obvs) and you are a total wrecking ball.
toxicitizen
Agreed on the Vanguard. I was soldier in ME1 but then prior to ME2 launch they released a promotional video about the class and showed Biotic Charge. I knew instantly that I needed to switch to it when ME2 came out and I've never regretted it. Â Biotic Charge + Claymore shotgun is a very deadly combination and the strong melee attack in ME3 complements it quite nicely! Haven't played ME3 yet, but ME2 and 1 were a blast. It's a nice combination between the weapon based soldier and the power based adept in that you can use just powers or just weapons if you really want to, but it works so much better in tandem. Â Also, the dubstep wave in ME2 is wonderful.
