Buying it? For what system?

  1. 1. Will you buy Borderlands 2?

    • Definitely!
    • Probably at/around launch
    • Probably, at some point (if goes on sale and I need a new game)
    • Probably not
    • No.
  2. 2. If you buy it, what system will you buy it for?

    • PC
    • PS3
    • Xbox 360
    • There is absolutely no way I'm buying it.

I'm sure others have beaten the Handsome Jack main game, and last night I finished the story for "Torgue's Campaign."

Thing is, just like the main game, for both Scarlett and Torgue DLC there's each a "Raid" side quest. Basically, even if you're seven levels higher than the side quest difficulty, they're designed to [very] realistically be beaten with a group of players. I tried the "Pete the Incinvicible" side quest in Torgue's, and I only got half his shield down by the time I died from corrosion damage.

It ISN'T a huge leap from Borderlands 1. If Borderlands 1 was a tres leches cake, Borderlands 2 is cuatro leches. A more delicious experience that is still quite similar to the original but improved. Also single player mode isn't as boring.

I don't think I've ever beaten a Borderlands game. I always get to level 30 at most and then something else comes along and swoops my interest. I'm such a game slut.

Then don't play it? Game development is becoming increasingly expensive. If reusing assets to make a cheap sequel means less things like microtransactions, then I am fine with that. Though, on the other hand I'd be surprised if 2K hadn't recouped all expenses for Borderlands 2, considering how well that game sold and all the DLC it had.

I'm disappointed there isn't a current-gen version, developers need to stop announcing games exclusively for PS3/360. I'm not likely to pick this up at launch for PS3 but I have a new system that I'm excited about and would totally pick up a game like Borderlands for, even if it's just a shiner version of the PS3 game.

I dont think its about recouping their losses, its about making more money while their "real" sequel or new IP comes out. And to keep the franchise relevant. I guess sort of a placeholder. Otherwise Im sure Borderlands 2 and Arkham City made them quite a bit of money.

Its basically what Ubisoft does with AC.

And the only reason I talk shit about it is because it should be an expensive expansion at most.

But whatever. Maybe its going to be better and Borderlands 2.

The ps3 patch for cross saving with Vita was released today. It kind of sucks.

Golden keys, skins and your badass rank don't transfer over. theyre all separate.

Well, the shift account is the same, but they dont combine in any way, yet they still use up the code. So if you unlock a golden key or a skin with one of the shift codes, itll show up that you already redeemed it, but itll stay stuck in whatever version you used them in.

Youre honestly better off just starting a whole new shift account on Vita.

Im going to start over on Vita with a new shift account and a new character and play it that way and only transfer over my character to the ps3 to do the dlc that the Vita version doesnt have.
