  1. 1. Will you buy Borderlands 2?

    • Definitely!
    • Probably at/around launch
    • Probably, at some point (if goes on sale and I need a new game)
    • Probably not
    • No.
  2. 2. If you buy it, what system will you buy it for?

    • PC
    • PS3
    • Xbox 360
    • There is absolutely no way I'm buying it.

I already read a solution that really isn't too complicated. Heck it might just require to get an IP changer/hider for when you buy or download the actual game.

Oh, believe me, I know all there is about that. The issue here is not only regional lock, but in the inability to play the game in English and that I actually bought different game and they changed it without any notice.

What's more retarded is that retail copies that activate on steam DO NOT have region lock and are sold worldwide uncontrollably, while steam gifts are easily controlled and are much more of a hussle to sell.

Anyway:

Good news everyone! I was contacted by Tom Bass, the Director of Marketing at 2K. They know about our issue, and they're holding many meetings on how to solve it. Reminder: it's 10 minutes to 8AM local time for the guys at 2K. I never expected that, let's give them some virtual over-the-air hugs! I'll have an update from Tom later today, probably in a few hours, no less.

And here's launch trailer for americans

Us europeans must wait for the 21st.

When I saw the launch trailer, I got the feeling they were spoiling a cool turning point in the story. Though, months ago we did see Lilith return, but it could have been a mechanic that brought back your previous Vault Hunter or something.

Anywho, gonna add whoever is getting this on PS3.

I am still undecided on my Borderlands 2 character. After playing ME3 in SP and MP as very aggressive character types, I was thinking of using the assassin for sniping. Though, it seems a fair few of his skills are still linked to melee stuff...at least what I could see before looking at a skill tree bored me to tears. Damnit, wish there were just a straight-up Mordecai copy...

Also, I'm pretty cack-handed with movement on a keyboard, so I'd rather not have to be some athletic, Kill Bill-style assassin.

Yeah, Hot Heart, if you're not able to pull of some headshots with the sniper rifle the Assassin might not be for you. It's what I'm playing at the moment, and it looks like he'd be really terrible if you can't headshot enemies, as his critical hit buffs are first to unlock and are really powerful. I'd say go with the Commando, but I've always found that class to be really really boring.

Gunzerker looks like a lot of fun, though.

Yeah, long story short but I had Mordecai for co-op while using Roland for solo. Friends ditched the game but I carried on with Roland, turning the game into BOREderlands. Definitely not touching the commando guy.

I have no problem with aiming, that's probably one thing I am good at, thanks to the mouse. It's more to do with whether I have to be quite dextrous with moving around, constantly meleeing enemies (because I suck at WASD movement) instead of taking time to pick targets. Even if I've heard the assassin can be a total wrecking machine with melee specs. Though I hear the PC version should support gamepads, which may work out better if I play that way. Hmm...

The options are great. Best PC port I've seen this year, I'd say. As for it being a solo-friendly game, I'd say so. I've been playing solo for most of today and I haven't gotten bored at all. Most of the complaints about it being boring in SP come from the long runs from objective to objective without a friend around to do it with you, for me at least, and Borderlands 2 has gotten better when it comes to pacing and objective placement. I know in the Doctor Ned DLC for the first game there were a few areas where some of the distances you had to travel on foot were just unreasonable, and from what I've seen so far the sequel hasn't had any of those issues.

It's primarily solo-friendly because you've got characters talking and dialogue about 20x more than in the original. In the first, you'd get a mission, go about it fighting enemies and if they were human you'd hear some gibberish. Once you finished the mission, you'd get some dialogue and you're alone again.

In the sequel, so far I've had multiple conversations with Claptrap, Sir Hammerlock, and Handsome Jack. It also helps that the human enemies have some dialogue rather than generic sounds. It still has massive areas which would make having company more enjoyable rather than you running alone.

Jesus Fucking Christ this game, I finished Captain Flint with two badass weapons and a bunch of weaponry and badass shit. I just lost it because the game can't save and it crashed on me. I gotta redo the entire fucking area. fml

edit: It was the fucking steam cloud. God fucking dammit I'm turning this shit off, the game works beautifully when that is off.

Yep, I know. And there was much rejoicing. I just hope the same won't happen to X-Com.

He knows. I was going to link in his post from Steambook earlier, but I can't figure out how the hell you get links to individual statuses.

Like this:

?

I can only get a link if something that I've posted received a comment. Weird.
