Cyber Rat
Well, the only renown "mercenary" in the Resident Evil series is HUNK, so it seems likely that the third guy was him. Also, is Chris after Jill again? He keeps saying how he was "running away from the truth" and then keeps yelling "she killed them all" while his comrade calms him down with phrases like "personal vendetta". Also, fuck you Capcom if you bring back Wesker from the dead. Edited January 23, 2012 by Cyber Rat

CorgiShinobi
Seems more like the cast of an "opposites couple" movie. "Leon S. Kennedy, an ex-cop now certified badass, has lost his job. It's not everyday you have to shoot a zombified President of the United States of America, but that's the life he lives. She was a no-nonsense government official. Strong, independent, and needed no man in her life. Then she dropped the bomb... literally! Turns out she'll need Leon, in perhaps more ways than one! Watch as these two fight through a city swarming with undead citizens and monsters. Yet, the toughest opponent they may face is the strong emotional tension that forms between a man and a woman... AND GIANT BOULDERS AND EXPLOSIONS!" Coming to a theater near you, folks. Edited January 24, 2012 by Atomsk88
Waldorf and Statler
Does anybody have an idea of when this game is supposed to take place? Speculations say it is anywhere from before Resident Evil 5 to a couple of months after. I think it'd be a dick move to make it before Resi 5 considering they have all these plot points in this one that seems to add to the Resi plot (like 'Cole' having the supposed cure for the virus in his blood) and also we're already getting another game that takes place before 5. I mean yeah sure Wesker is a big boss, but it doesn't mean we can't have a game post-Wesker.
MetalCaveman
http://www.capcom-un...amazing_trailer "It has been ten years since the Raccoon City incident and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place in the belief that it will curb the current resurgence in bioterrorist activity". Which would mean the game takes place in 2008, however, the xbox product page said that it takes place in 2013. http://marketplace.x...15-d80243430819
Waldorf and Statler
Some people have speculated that they're too ambiguous about "raccoon city incident" and that it may well take place in late 2009 [after resi 5]. Capcom hasn't announced anything but I am really hoping it takes place after resident evil 5. Even if it's only a few months after. I hate Capcom's tendency for prequels and interquels. Mal
Wait, what? Raccoon City taking place around 2009, after RE5? This is the first time I heard of such.

Could be that you start in 2008/9 when the President is about to blow the lid on Umbrella, then all hell breaks loose. He goes all zomb. 5/4 years later you pick up the story. Waldorf and Statler
You know Thursday I'd be more than fine with that idea. And no Malicious. It occured in the late 90's but if you read online there is no sure sign that they meant a specific incident. They just said "the raccoon city incident" which could mean a couple of things. Connorrrr
http://www.computerandvideogames.com/335965/new-resident-evil-6-details-it-doesnt-return-to-series-roots/ "Zombies will return in RE6 "but now they run, jump at you, even use weapons and as such are different from those encountered in previous games" "Kobayashi kicked off by providing an insight into the design of the game, saying that it isn't a return to the basics of the series and instead builds on the good points of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5. He also specifically mentions the desire to create a more 'colorful' game." Hm..

Mal
I'm fine with running and jumping zombies (reminds me of crimson heads), hell I can be chill with weapon wielding zombies (William and Nemesis) but wouldn't a mix be better? It would be a minor throwback but not enough to dominate the game. I am assuming that yes, its a more improved version of the T-virus but it would retain some of its selective nature. The original T-virus only made a rare few into Tyrants and everyone else to zombies, barring any injections. Let's assume that the improved T-virus made more or the same amount of Tyrants but made a newer, better zombie but also retains around 15-20% non-success rate aka regular zombies? That way so it won't feel like we're fighting more Plagas...
Faiblesse Des Sens
Who knows what they mean by "zombies" though. I wouldn't take it literally until we get more information. To me, in this series, "zombies" are t-virus. I can't imagine that being changed to have them use weapons.
CorgiShinobi
IGN had more to say, though I'm wondering what's actually true... http://ps3.ign.com/articles/121/1218741p1.html Supposedly, it's 100% confirmed that the blonde is Sherry Birkin as the president Leon shoots isn't Ashely's father, the president during RE4. Feels strange though that it has taken over a decade for a character like Sherry Birkin, after all the different installments, to become relevant to the Resident Evil universe again. MetalCaveman
Some new stuff: Co-op will be available in both split-screen and online forms: http://ps3.ign.com/a...m_medium=social Lots of new story details, yes, Sherry will be in the game also, the other dude is called Jake Muller and he's Wesker's son. http://www.eurogamer...-horror-returns Each character will have a "unique gameplay experience" Leon's story will be the one that focuses more on horror. The new virus is called the C-virus. Also, new trailer! \m/ \m/ Keep in mind, it may contain some spoilers.
FMW
This looks amazing! Pretty? Check! Interesting character/monster design? Check! Leon Kennedy? Check! Hammy as all hell? Double Check! This game is aiming to offer old school horror, new school action, single player, co-op, multiplayer (it's going to be a horde mode. It's too obvious for them to pass up). Co-op is local and online... Really I have trouble imagining anyone being unhappy with this game as of now. The only way I can see being dissatisfied with it is if A. You're a stick in the mud who wants RE to be just like pre-RE 4 (clunky and slow) B. You actually take the Resident Evil story seriously and are only now realizing how incredibly (wonderfully) hokey it all is.
CorgiShinobi
I don't know, man. That C-virus seems pretty average to me!
FMW
Resident Evil 6 is getting a $1300 premium edition that comes with Leon Kennedy's new leather jacket... It's obscene, I love it. Anyone who buys this edition (I think it's Japan only) should be cast out from normal society. But for that same action, the purchaser should be elevated to the status of nerd god. Mal
I can say already that I look forward to this far more than I did with RE5. The C-creatures looks pretty terrifying. They gives me the creeps like lickers do. I really hope Capcom isn't really that much over their heads and gives us a crap game. Also I actually do love the story, or more specifically the world it is in and the lore. I guess that what happens when you more or less grew up with the games. Strangelove
Its weird, but i also kind of sort of care about the story. Ive cared about it since RE2 probably. Im not sure why. Its not well told. Its just interesting I guess. And im not even sure why.
