Yantelope V2
This is an interesting article. http://www.destructoid.com/lol-sports-why-i-don-t-like-sports-games-anymore-220962.phtml I've actually been there and back again. As a kid I played 2020 Super Baseball and Little League Baseball and loved them both. They were very simple to control and not too complicated and I still spent tons of time playing them. I skipped baseball games all through the PS1-2 era and jumped back in during PS3 and boy was I in for a shock. The controls are freaking complicated and it's so over the top just how much effort you have to put into actually learning just how to play the game. I stuck with it but I found that I've turned most of the controls to their most basic settings. I heard it said that sports nerds are the worst nerds of all and it's probably true. I think there's also trutht that gamers want to play sports games that are more focused on being a game and less focused on being a sport sim. The return of NBA Jam and NFL Blitz are great starts to this I think. Anyway, just wondering if anyone else grew up playing sports games like Tecmo Bowl and quit playing them later in life. Cyber Rat
Only sports games I really enjoyed were NBA Jam and Tiny Toon All-Stars. Blitzball in FFX was also awesome. I kid, I kid...
Faiblesse Des Sens
I loved Blitzball and that was during an era where I loved NBA Street and everything else Big was doing.
Luftwaffles
I have such a nostalgia boner for the SSX series. Otherwise, I used to play a lot of FIFA on the PS2 and got pretty good at that.
