CorgiShinobi
Plain and simple, we discuss the latest/greatest manga has to offer. I wasn't sure how many people would bother with this kind of thread, so that's why I asked in Anime Discussion. Obviously any one manga is ahead of its respective anime, so we'll have to put SPOILERS in practically every post, that is, unless we discuss prior knowledge/events. For example, Naruto! How about Naruto and Kurama, the nine-tails, teaming up and creating a new super special awesome form? A part of me is still bothered at how Kurama technically is only as half as strong as he should be, what with his Yin chakra being sealed away. I dunno, maybe it'll be restored some how later on, but things are definitely wrapping up in Naruto. I can't imagine that once Tobi is defeated, there could be anything else for the series. I mean, the all the shinobi have come together in unity to defeat a common enemy. The only tailed-beasts left are Kurama and the eight-tails, but I can guarantee #8 is going to be caught sometime soon. Perhaps in the current battle with Tobi? So here we go!

CorgiShinobi
I forgot to ask about online sources for manga actually now that I think about it. Manga Stream was confronted by Viz Media this week and were ordered to stop hosting Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece scans. You'd think Viz Media wouldn't actually care because only a few chapters are hosted at any one moment on Manga Stream. Then again, even with the water mark, people could save the images for future reference/enjoyment. CorgiShinobi
As far as Naruto goes for this week, I can't really spoil anything because nothing much happened. Basically there's something that Orochimaru had that could change the war and Sasuke has gone from being a brooding ass to a full-on psychopath. excel_excel
I've watched and read various parts of the Naruto manga and anime, its damn good in parts. Manga I've read that were really good, Tokyo Tribes (aka Tokyo Tribe2) which is about gangs in Tokyo and two heads of each gang who used to be best friends, really dark and weird in places but overall its a satisfying read. Dragon Ball is really good and funny in places, Dragon Ball Z is fantastic, the story and characters are enthralling and compared to the anime, the artwork is charming and rough, and the plot is lightning quick. I'm just getting into the One Piece manga which is just an incredibly well realised world and the selection of characters are nearly all awesome. Lament of the Lamb is a fairly short series which I highly recommend, its almost a drama in places, about a family who have a curse of the blood that makes them vampires, very suspensful in places. All I can think of at the moment.
CorgiShinobi
Viz Media is searching the Web of all Naruto scans as now Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece have been removed from Manga Fox. Time to find another site...
CorgiShinobi
Wow, nearly a year ago since the last post. I mentioned it before in a status update, but SERIOUSLY, read Molester Man. The title might throw you off, but here's the synopsis: Based off a real story which was posted on 2ch, Molester Man is the story of how Molester Man is mistaken for a stalker by Miss Understanding, and how they overcome their personal challenges while slowly growing closer to each other. There's more to it as that's just the first handful of chapters. There's a big turn of events, but I won't spoil it. Read it on Manga Here
Mal
I've been reading the FLCL manga. God, I missed out back then but I'm sure reliving my love for FLCL and Hajime Ueda's art style. The manga got stuff that wasn't in the anime, so its a really nice twist on things (Unless I'm not remembering things correctly) and I know for sure Ueda is one of my influences on how I draw (Takehito Harada being my main). Listening to various Pillows songs and being slightly drunk helps too I think... Edit: So yeah, one of the best times I had reading a manga in YEARS. Waldorf and Statler
Ever since I caught up with the Berserk manga I feel the pain of long-time fans. Every day I check for a new chapter edit: @Atomsk: Been reading that manga you posted. That guy is like the manga version of me in the way he deals with women. In like everyway. It's fucking scary. Waldorf and Statler
Been reading Silver Spoon by the creator of Full Metal Alchemist. I'm not one that tends to read Slice of Life comics but this one is absolutely brilliant. It has the brilliant humor we saw in FMA mixed with an over-all light hearted nature. It also gives a lot of information on farming and those topics. It has plenty of serious/drama moments but the character is basically Edward in the sense of being the comic's clown but serious when it needs to be. And I'm not gonna lie the evolving relationship between Edward and Winry was brilliantly written in the manga and this one has a similar one between the protagonist and the love interest. Only difference is that since it's a slice of life it's already moving somewhat faster which I like. This is probably the author's relaxation after FMA as it deals with a topic very close to her heart and it shows. It wins plenty of awards and it's getting an anime this year. Even if you don't like Slice of Life (like me) I'd still recommend you give it a try if you've been looking for something to read. I started yesterday and caught up today (OCD reader and all) but there are currently about 67 chapters out.
CorgiShinobi
Don't know how many of you read the Naruto manga... but we just hit a BIG turning point in the series. I won't put a spoiler yet, but after all these years, we have our answer for the outcome of a certain central friendship.
Waldorf and Statler
I gave up on Naruto about 3 years ago. But let me take a wild guess it's either A. Naruto and Sakura finally hook up or B. Sasuke finally gets killed.

Waldorf and Statler
I just read what happened and I fail to grasp how that's a big character development. Is the character development that Naruto will finally meet his dad or that Sasuke isn't completely evil?
CorgiShinobi
After defeating Itachi, his older brother, Sasuke has had a grudge against the village, even though Itachi made it clear how he was ordered to stop the rebellion the entire Uchiha clan was in on. To Sasuke, Konoha and its people had to pay, almost how Itachi had to pay for killing their clan. He has been this bundled up ball of angst and revenge that he was dead set on killing anyone who got in his way of destroying Konoha. Even Sakura, who he would have sliced in half if Naruto didn't arrive in time. Now, after all that exposition from Hashirama, Sasuke has decided to defend Konoha. So yeah, Sasuke has finally gotten his head straight, even after having a conversation with his dead brother some odd chapters ago, and is going to fight alongside Naruto. Or I dunno, maybe he'll backstab everyone and yell out something really emo. Edited April 12, 2013 by Atomsk88
Mister Jack
Just seems to me like this is yet another case of him never being able to think for himself and just doing things because of what someone else tells him.
