Connorrrr
To my delight, it seems Frictional Games are releasing a new game. It was being referred to as the new Amnesia for a while, and I don't know if "A Machine for Pigs" is the subtitle or the actual title, but whatever. Anyway here's what we have so far. http://www.nextfrictionalgame.com/inject_db.php?select_user=%27%20or%20%271%27=%271 Coincidentally, I just completed Amnesia last night. Loved it, terrified by it, and ready to be terrified by this again. There's a ton of speculation about what's going on with this, as Frictional are being quite cryptic. This thread on Reddit seems to hit some interesting points. Discuss!
Little Pirate
I love horror games, I might keep an eye out for this one.
Connorrrr
Did you play Amnesia? So ridiculously scary!
excel_excel
Cripes, I've barely played any of Amnesia, its.....its atmosphere is just so god damn unnerving! Glad they are making another title though, how much did Amnesia cost to make, and have they announced how much money they made from it? Connorrrr
Not sure but it was almost definitely profitable, it got lots of rave reviews after all. Makes sense to develop a sequel.
excel_excel
Oh yeah I was just wondering, I know they turned a profit, just wondering over the years how much money they've made just on Amnesia, cause it always seem to be referenced when it comes to horror on PC and it also got a retail release I believe. Vargras
Title officially confirmed as Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs. It's set in 1899, will follow an industrialist returning from an ill-fated trip to Mexico, and will be developed by thechineseroom. Also due to release this year. http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2012/02/22/next-frictional-game.aspx

Faiblesse Des Sens
It's Amnesia in an industrial setting. Looks good to me.
MasterDex
I still haven't played Amnesia. I do like a good horror game however. Playing F.3.A.R now has me wanting more frights. Definitely not as unnerving as the first game anyway. I'll be keeping an eye on this.

Saturnine Tenshi
I really wish I could stomach these games. This looks great.
SomTervo
Looks really good. Not a fan of the visual side of the trailer- the design/ gameplay is great, the editing is awful- but the themes and story look so great in this. The word cards and the script sounds brilliant, a step up from Amnesia which was decent but a bit on the naff side. This is still hammy but better actual quality.
