Mister Jack
I upgraded pretty much everything else about my PC. Might as well finally do something about that stock wired keyboard. Already got a new mouse a while back that I'm happy with. Edited January 7 by Mister Jack
TheMightyEthan
Oh hey that's the same keyboard I have, I really like it.
Mal
I've been using the same stock Dell keyboard for like a decade now lol It's a case of where it does everything it needs to do so I never saw the need to replace it.
toxicitizen
I'm an adult and I spend my money in a responsible and mature way. I've also got a decent collection of figma figures at this point but they're all still in their boxes because I currently have no space to display them. With the ones I received yesterday, I now have the entire God Hand from Berserk!
Mister Jack
My laptop needed a keyboard too. I actually didn't buy this one specifically because of the theme. I tried a smaller TKL keyboard but I didn't like how the right side buttons were vertically aligned so I got this slightly bigger one instead. Feels great to type on but man is it loud. If I had to worry about waking up people in the house I wouldn't be typing on this thing after bedtime, that's for sure.
Mister Jack
Been touching up the living room, making it better with cleaning and new furniture and such. This is the fun part: getting a new tv. My old one was 32 inches because I was using an old pre-HD cabinet and that was all it could fit. Now that I have more room, I bumped it up to a 55 inch. Also went for an OLED because I wanted to get more out of an upgrade than just a bigger viewing space.

TheMightyEthan
Old phone is 4 years old and with tariffs hitting I'm expecting prices to jump, so I thought I'd go ahead and upgrade now. Pixel 9 Pro XL

Mister Jack
Can't blame you one bit. I'm seriously considering it myself.
TheMightyEthan
Also bought a safe for it.
TheFlyingGerbil
gosh, Do you really feel things could come to that. I can't imagine. though I also can't imagine things getting any better. It seems the people who want things to stay the same or get worse are so m uch more effective than the ones that want things to get better. Plan for the worst, hope for the best and etc. Rather get one now while they're easy to get and never need it than for things to really hit the fan and not be able to. Mal
I've been debating about it too and I'm in California lol Like, I should at least have some to practice with when I'm home. And that where lies the problem: I can't say I have the gun(s) secured if I'm not home for 2-3 weeks at a time. I am thinking of a plain old Glock 19 (or similar) and some basic ass AR-15 (or the like). Honestly doesn't matter if I get screwed by CA regulations, I just need to be able to reliably hit what I want to hit and know how to handle a gun. fun times
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, that's a Sig Sauer P365. We picked it because we liked how the Sig grips and triggers felt, and that one in particular has a smaller magazine (10 rounds) so it's legal in every state, but it can also accept larger magazines. Also it's got a safety, which apparently most of them don't anymore. Might get a rifle and/or shotgun at some point, but wanted to start with this. Mister Jack
They make handguns without safeties?!
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I was shocked too.
toxicitizen
I mean, do you really need a safety that you're only ever going to use once (to turn it off) and then never again?
Thursday Next
Well, this thread got terrifying. I know (or rather trust) that you are all sensible people, so the fact that you feel that the increased risk of having a gun in your home (statistically one is more likely to be wounded by a weapon in one's home than a random one belonging to someone else) is necessary due to the current state of affairs is chilling. I hope you are all ok.
danielpholt
So over the last year or so I've lost about 23kg in weight. Most of that has come through improvements to my diet, but I've also been moving a little more. Over the last month or two I've been working out. Not much mind you, I don't have much time nor do I have much space, so it's mainly weights and some basic calisthenics; 30-40 minutes a day, 5 days a week. I'm doing this before work, and then going to work (a manual job) so I'm a little tired, but it's worth it. Been using 5kg weights so far and my arms and chest are already feeling a little tighter, more toned. This purchase is the next part of this. They should carry me through the rest of the 'fitness journey'. I can't see myself wanting to lift heavier than 22kg, and if I do, then I imagine it's time to get a gym membership. Sorry kids. So yeah. £229. Money well spent.
Mal
I have the older model. It's really is fantastic for what it is. With that said, the newer model that you have can have a kettle bell or straight/curl bar attachments! I kind of want to upgrade now lmao On a related note: I recently got a walking pad so I can 10k steps a day while at home. This is far more relevant to my job as sometimes I need to do surveys where I walk/hike 5-10 miles a day.
