Faiblesse Des Sens
I've never understood why there wouldn't be an expansion slot in gadgets. It's what's putting me off buying a WP7 phone at the moment. I can see why apple do it so they can sell their different memory sized models. but in products where there is only one version all you're doing is annoying potential customers. It must be really easy and cheap to shove in a memory slot, and is a real 'quick win' Yeah... but then you get people wanting to put their apps on the SD then you have to worry about SD card speed and shit like that. This keeps it simple and straightforward to avoid problems.
Thursday Next
It is indeed my first and I am quite satisfied thus far. Was looking for an e-reader not a tablet so the Kindle Fire isn't really of interest to me. Given the nature of the content available on the Kindle (i.e. tiny files that take days to consume) I don't see the need for an expansion slot on the reader. excel_excel
Bought these shoe(s) for my girlfriend for Christmas. Obviously the picture shows one shoe, but I'm fairly sure you get two. UNLESS I'VE BEEN LIED TO.

Hot Heart
So you might not get a whole second shoe then. Just warning you.
Battra92
My wife almost bought these shoes the other day. She told her mom about them and her mom commented "you're not a little girl any more." I dunno, I thought they were alright ...
TheFlyingGerbil
I feel they would be used in a modern remake of the wizard of oz...
Battra92
Well, besides Christmas presents and the like I've managed to pick up a few things for myself: and some DVD's This movie was fantastic! I'm in a sort of Pre-Code talkie mood lately. and this last one was just over a dollar so you can't go wrong there. Perhaps the only good British monster movie ... TheMightyEthan
Was checking my Amazon wishlist for things to add to get super saver shipping on my Katamari Forever purchase, and saw that the JP bundle had dropped like 60% from when I added it, and Suck Punch was 40% off. Strangelove
That movie was mind numbing. I had an out of body experience where I drifted off into nothingness. I dont remember shit.
deanb
Yeah it's a bit "WTF is actually going on" but it sure is a "visual feast". Samurai mech bunnies against nazi something or other people.
Battra92
I find it sad that there's an "Extended cut" of that film and so many legendary films exist only in fragments or are forgotten entirely.
TheMightyEthan
I quite liked it, though I will say it's structure seems more suited to a video game.
TheFlyingGerbil
Doris Day, Bette Midler, Dolly Parton and Carpenters Christmas albums. I'll be having a gay old time this Christmas.
Battra92
Doris Day, Bette Midler, Dolly Parton and Carpenters Christmas albums. I'll be having a gay old time this Christmas. Only with Bette Midler. The rest are perfectly acceptable in a heterosexual setting. Especially the Carpenters.
TheFlyingGerbil
I guess people see them a bit differently in this country. I can't imagine any straight men with them (except maybe the carpenters, but then no straight people my age would have that).
TheMightyEthan
I'm straight and I like Bette Midler... Course that's because my dad likes her, and he's gay.
Thursday Next
I liked Sucker Punch too. Thought it was a pretty slick production. I liked the visuals. The Steam Punk - Alice in Wonderland-ness of it all. It was a fun film. It's not exactly taxing on the noggin, but it was a good bit of cinema. EDIT: I also really liked the soundtrack. So there!
