Hot Heart
Figured I should update this Grabbed a couple of DVDs - Hancock (because it was very cheap and I wanted to see it) - Sherlock (latest BBC series, also because it was cheap, and will be part of a gift for my mum's upcoming birthday) And thanks to Gerbil's link for Shopto.net I grabbed the Fender Mustang Pro controller for Rock Band 3 since, there, it was the cheapest I've seen it and an extra £2 off can't hurt. Pirandello
The only newest thing I bought is Killing Floor. *sigh* That's a lot of animu and mango, Saturnine. I'd buy them myself, but I'm a creepy-looking guy and I'd rather not have something that permanently cements that status (and I get really embarrassed whenever someone sees anything I own that pertains to animu and mango. Most likely due to my Sailor Moon collection I used to have... and still have, sitting somewhere in the Great Storage Beyond). So I just buy lots of games instead. deanb
I lost part of my earphones yesterday, then forgot them at home anyway, so I bought some more today (being meaning to for a while) Picked up these, just in gunmetal colour instead. They're not too bad but I've yet to put them through any rigorous use, just a brief part of the stroll home wit the default buds. Not sure if I'm keen on the embossed skull candy on the buds though, does help with grip I guess, but makes it harder to pull em out your ear when you're done. Saturnine Tenshi
How much did you pay for those? I've been using some Nintendo DS ear-snaps for my PSP, and I could use some ear buds.
deanb
How much did you pay for those? I've been using some Nintendo DS ear-snaps for my PSP, and I could use some ear buds. £19 from HMV, so you can probably pick them up cheaper online. Yep they're £5 cheaper: http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;-1;-1;-1;-1&sku=436985 (though not in my colour) I'm not much of an audiophile, but I find £20-£30 to be an okay price. These are my first skull candy, but I'm a fan of Sony headphones.

CorgiShinobi
A couple months ago my friends and I tried to crash a Skull Candy event party. It ended with the doorman giving us the stink eye and some attendee dropping F-bombs while stomping on the street.
Pirandello
I bought an LG 22" LED widescreen monitor! Was about $100 after I used my gift cards (which were gathering dust since last year).

Strangelove
It was 30 bucks, but I had a 10 dollar gift card. I work at Borders, the store is closing this thursday, so everything is on sale and has been going down steadily. The price had been going down every few weeks, but this past week its been going down almost every day. It went from 139 to 100, then slowly went down until it was 30. So I jumped on the chance. Theres absolutely nothing wrong with it. Its brand new.
Saturnine Tenshi
Ouch, Borders. I work at one of your competitors. Tough luck, comrade. We aren't faring too well, either. At least you pocketed a cheap e-reader out of the demise.
Strangelove
Its alright. Im transferring to another store. i frankly dont think b&n will be ok either. Probably just halfprice books will remain.
CorgiShinobi
It finally arrived in the mail! I didn't bother to spring an extra $18 simply to have an Identity Disc (Collector's Edition) case for the discs. P4: Gritty Reboot
It finally arrived in the mail! I didn't bother to spring an extra $18 simply to have an Identity Disc (Collector's Edition) case for the discs. Just saw this last night for the first time; pretty good movie. Bought Roper's only album for $3.73 with free 2-day shipping off Amazon Prime. Also picked up Catcher in the Rye for $3.99 with free 2-day shipping for the wife. Battra92
Thanks to a great deal over at Worst Buy I was able to get the both of these for $25 including the tax to Devil Patrick. My fiancee is not a fan of CARS so I will be watching that one alone.
CorgiShinobi
Cars is watchable, but it's definitely the one Pixar movie that I'm hesitant to watch. It's not like I haven't seen the thing playing on television multiple times. Of all the Pixar movies to have a sequel, why would Cars get priority over The Incredibles? I'm sure there's a valid reason, but it seems ridiculous considering how of those two movies, The Incredibles had the most potential for another installment. Instead we're receiving a film on secret agent cars. I'm sure it'll be good, what with it being Pixar and all. TheFlyingGerbil
I think the reason is toy cars in toy shops. There wasn't that much Incredibles merchandise, but the Cars stuff is still selling.

But yes, Incredibles is my favorite by far, it'd be nice to see a sequel there more than Cars.

Anyway ... moving on: The US version is now OOP and sells for around $70. The UK version sells for about $20 shipped the US. There's a reason I have several region free / PAL to NTSC DVD players. I bought this because it was £4.16 for four movies. Granted all I was really interested in was the packaging and the curiosity that is the colorized version of King Kong. Between my brother, dad and I we own Kong on Blu-Ray, DVD R1, VHS, VHS colorized, Laserdisc (60th Anniversary - we don't own the Criterion one ... yet ) and Selectavision (CED). Now we can add the R2 release to the pile. and finally ... This is another case of the US version being long OOP and sells for $70 and the UK version is £5.83. Besides, Anna May Wong films are pretty rare to see.
P4: Gritty Reboot
I really did not care for the Incredibles that much. Even Cars wasn't amazing, but my son loves it so much that I've seen it more than any other Pixar film. Anyway, the Cars 2 trailer makes me think it'll be the worst Pixar film yet, but who knows. They probably don't though. *Edit* - Cars didn't impress me, but it was entertaining enough. I think The Incredibles is the best Pixar movie after Toy Story though. Strangelove
So i uhh....got another Kobo eReader...for 2 dollars. Everything was 3 dollars yesterday, everything was 2 dollars today, and everything will be one dollar tomorrow. Thats our last day. Turns out we could buy the demo eReaders we had. We got a few demos, but there were 2 somewhere in the back that they never used. I snatched up one of them and this other employee snatched up the other. She was actually the one who asked if we could buy them and she offered me the other one if they both worked. Its perfectly fine. Nothing wrong with it physically or electronically. Well, except its the older version which doesnt have wireless. Not like it matters, Im not buying books online when I can get them for free from torrent sites. I really dont know what im going to do with it besides keep it as a backup in case i lose or break the other one.
