TheMightyEthan
Oh yeah, gas definitely has convenience going for it, I just meant end result of charcoal grilling is better. Usually for just a couple burgers or hotdogs I'll break out the George Foreman grill just for convenience's sake.
Faiblesse Des Sens
Picked this up for PS3 and PC on the same monitor shenanigans. Just allows me to select which input I want relatively easily, as I didn't realize my monitor was DVI/VGA before rather than DVI/DVI. Also, was about 100 dollars cheaper than any other boxes I found. Yaaay Monoprice. I have their HDMI switcher and a toslink/optical switcher from there. Both are great.

HDMI switchers are just difficult to find, but decently priced ones that are good are even harder to find.

Faiblesse Des Sens
http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10110&cs_id=1011001&p_id=8149&seq=1&format=2 I have what I would guess is the old version of this. Just search "hdmi switch" on Monoprice and browse what they have.

「Advent Chaos」
Just supporting my local comic book store :] Thinking of going back next week and buying issues 2 & 3.
TheFlyingGerbil
It starts with issue zero. Is that normal?
Battra92
Comics usually start with issue 0 as a sort of preview issue.
TheMightyEthan
Kinda like how tv series often have a pilot that isn't ever broadcast as a real part of the show?
「Advent Chaos」
From what I understand there were actually 4 0(Zero) Issues! All part of a promotional campaign with the release of the Genesis games, the one i have is part 1/4, part 2 & 3 were on sale when I bought mine, but they were $19.99 each and could only afford one so I picked 1/4. It also explains why it goes Issue 0 on February > Issue 1 on July. I may be wrong on some parts with this issue 0 business though, I shouuld look it up sometime! deanb
My headphones finally gave out this week, and what with now walking back n forth from work was worst time possible. So just grabbed these from Asda this weekend for a tenner. As long as unbroken sound comes out both sides it's fine for me.
TheMightyEthan
The only earbuds I've ever found comfortable are the origin iPod headphones. Even the new iPod one's don't fit right. I think I have freak ears.
Johnny
normal earbuds are crazy uncomfortable to a lot of people. People who are serious about this stuff tend to buy custom mold IEMs to fit their ear canals.
Battra92
Great book. My favorite Orwell is Animal Farm but 1984 is quite chilling and sadly prophetic. You learn the real reason the Europeans use the 24 hour clock.
Yantelope V2
Animal Farm is actually quite amazing. I thought of it many times when I visited China. You will hear school kids tell you that China will be great again if they work hard. Reminded me quite a bit of poor Boxer.
TheMightyEthan
You learn the real reason the Europeans use the 24 hour clock. Because it's more convenient? Seriously though I don't remember that, enlighten me?
deanb
Go on then, what's the "real reason" we use the 24-hr clock? Animal Farm I read back in yr7 cos I had forgotten to bring my reading book with me so just pulled a book off a shelf. Later found out it was meant for later years(GCSE I think, but we did To Kill a Mockingbird, then again I was in a different school by that point. iirc it was To Kill a Mockingbird for the higher grade classes n Of Mice n Men for the lower ones.) . Not read it for over a decade now so kinda foggy in my mind. I think I may look into getting a copy, iirc I quite enjoyed it.

Hot Heart
It's so they can say 'Big brother watches you 24/7' and not 'Big Brother watches you 12+12/7'

Seriously though I don't remember that, enlighten me? In 1984 they say that the 12 hour clock is the old way of thinking and 24 hour clock is the new way. It's nothing specific, just poking fun. In Metropolis by Thea von Harbou it's taken to another level with a 10 hour clock arranged around the work shift length.
Strangelove
"Like new" for 8 bucks on Amazon with Amazon Prime shipping. I couldnt pass it up. Sadly, my season 6 got stolen. Now I have 4, 5 and 7. Ugh. I need to buy 6 again, then 8. I love the first ten seasons, but I think 4-8 are the ones seriously worth having. Maybe even 3. TheMightyEthan
3 is the first season I'd consider "good", 8 is the best season, but through 12 is worth watching.
Battra92
That's funny because the third season is about when I stopped watching. Of course I stopped watching because I lost TV access (my parents didn't let my brother and I have a TV in our shared bedroom)
