Just bought a 700W PSU...as my GPU was acting up only during high-end games and would shut off during stress tests...read online that it could be due to a faulty PSU(had a 530W one).

Hope this fixes it.

If not...guess I'll need to get a new GPU :(

How does this PSU hold up that I bought?

Galaxy S Advance.

Kinda like an SII..but not. It arrives on Monday n I get 14 days to play with it n decide if I want to keep or not. (It'd come tommorow, which shocked me, but we've got a day out with relatives). I'll see how it goes, if not so well then on Thursday I'll swing by the row of phone shops in Darlo n see what can be done to get a SII in my pocket (since that's definitely got ICS n dev support n such, whereas the S advance is "maybe". Don't really want a gingerbread phone for next 2 years :P)

It's more recent than the SII, only 6 months old. Any more recent and we're looking at the SIII, which is a fair bit out my price range :P I get it on Monday, gonna see how it plays. If not fine with the stock included* I'll throw it back Virgins way n grab a SII from either Carphone/Phones4U or Tesco. Which means either on Orange, O2 or T-Mobile, but all at same price. T-mobile SII at Tesco provides more data, so may pop through there. Clubcard points too I think. Main reason for sticking with Virgin is I get to keep my unlimited data and I know what their service is like. But hopping across means getting the SII, which is a decent phone, has ICS n custom rom support, and for about same price as current tariff, just with a bit less than I get atm (lose the unlimited data for one. I don't much care for texts n calls though)

*since there's a fair chance the phone may end up without ICS or custom ROMs

Just looked it up. Specs are worse than the SII. No Gorilla Glass. Smaller (though you might not consider that a bad thing.) Heavier despite the smaller screen. Less RAM, less internal storage. Lower quality camera (the SII camera is great so that's a bummer.) Weaker battery.

Remember: Newer isn't better when you change device tiers. On older high-end device is likely to beat out a newer mid-range.

Faiblesse, I've been looking through most of the android phones on the market for the past month or so. I could tell you the specs of a dozen phones with my eyes closed. I know the specs on the Advance, didn't need you repeating them :P. I'm well aware of the differences between the phones, and also that older high end stuff can beat out newer mid range. And I'm not changing tiers, not live I'm going from a Nexus to a Galaxy Y or something.

Got meself a Galaxy Note. I was going to post in here earlier, I apologise for the confusion in the Status post, but the image wasn't working just showing the "broken image" icon (I assume a bug in Android Chrome). It's pretty sweet. Few quirks here n there as part of Touchwiz I'll have to get used to for a while (until CM9/10 is stable on Note).

My god is the screen fucking sweet. Few scaling quirks in a couple apps though. For example I use Reddit is Fun and the Action bar on it shows less buttons than it did on my 3" Wildfire. But other than that great. Currently copying across a film to test it out for that (wasn't really something I'd been able to do before). ICS is nice too. Oh a cool addition is that I gave it a boot up and it asked which network I was on, and the choices being T-mobile n Virgin. I'm on Virgin atm(got a couple days and it ends then I can PAC code my number across) so I'm currently on my old sim, while I had been thinking I'd be on my wildfire for a few extra days when out n about. So that was handy.

Currently hopping between keyboards too (though a nice handy feature is when typing I get an option pop up in the shade to quickly swap keyboards. So atm I'm popping between Swiftkey when in portrait n Hacker Keyboard (a replica of a full PC keyboard) in landscape as n when the situation requires. Will be swapping between a few apps as I find once that play nice with ICS n the Note.

Oh n here's the forum on the Note in Chrome:

Chrome has a nice thing where if you tap on a spot that could be one of a couple of links it makes a pop-up magnified area so you can click the one you want. So it's perfectly usable this far zoomed out.

I'll probably throw something up on my blog in the coming weeks.

Grab them while I was cooling off from my bike ride to the Farmer's Market. I'm missing #4 so the guy at the comic shop is going to try to get an order in since I took the last #1 as well. I think Marceline and the Scream Queens just came out this week so time for a wait on that... not to mention waiting for a Bluray Season 1-3 of Adventure Time. The DVD just came out but no word about any Blurays which is totally not math.

I think DVD is all we can hope for. Considering it's going to be forever until we get The Complete Second Season, the only possibility of a Blu-ray is a Complete Series Collection. That, my fellow adventurer, could be years away.

Though I don't have a photo of it, I did get The Complete First Season today. Well, it finally arrived today as I got it off Amazon for $7.98.

The UPS guys are super tricky here. If I wasn't 10 feet from the door, I wouldn't have heard the guy knocking. It's not like he needed my signature though, and I imagine delivering a tiny DVD case isn't such a high priority in his route.

Oh, so it still looks like GB just like Sense 3.6 (the ICS version of Sense 3.) Gotcha.

Welcome to the world of not being a nit picky bastard while grabbing stock photos off the web. In fact looking at the image that I assume you're talking of being GB it looks pretty much exact same as my phone does atm.
