Faiblesse Des Sens
http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=108&cp_id=10823&cs_id=1082302&p_id=8323&seq=1&format=2 Picked this up. Great reviews for their value. My other pair of Monoprice headphones have been a great value as well. I also bought my ticket for Converge/Torche/Kvelertak. Bought it online because the venue has horrid box office hours. At least they don't use ticketmaster.
Luftwaffles
I used to have a pair of those Monoprice headphones. They don't sound as good as a pair of 100 dollar Sennheisers, of course, but for 20 bucks they do get damn close.
P4: Gritty Reboot
Bought Hanna on blu-ray because it was under £5 and it sounded pretty interesting. It isn't bad.

That's what I'm going for. =D I'd say the same thing about the buds I bought to replace my Sennheisers. My Sennheisers were about $30 on sale... but for 1/3rd of the price I'm getting a product that's close. Glad to hear the headphones are the same way. Hot Heart
Have you considered professional film reviewing? Edited October 5, 2012 by Hot Heart
UnstableArk
Got myself an Asus tf700t as a mini-replacement for my dying laptop. My first android device; not sure what the hell to do with it. Spent most of the day downloading apps and setting it up. Still not sure if I'm missing any "essential" apps, but I think I got most of 'em? Either way, it'll serve nicely for note-taking and some much needed mobility compared to my xp-rocking, 7.5lb, "please don't open too many folders, my 5 minute battery-life and Core 2 Duo can't take that much low processing" laptop of 5 years. Luftwaffles
Just bought a Nexus 7 myself to replace my laptop. As far as apps to get, I've been digging the Swiftkey Tablet version, Flipboard, BBC News, Reader HD (if you use RSS feeds), Gyro (for a game), and then if you've bought any Humble Bundles for Android it's worth checking out those games too. TheFlyingGerbil
I bought the eBook bundle. Adding in the Comic Anthologies is what clinched it.

Strangelove
Macbook Pro. Christmas came early. Ive wanted one for a long time, I had the money, Im lonely and material possessions make me happy....it all worked out! Plus, the laptop I have now Im giving to my mom. Itll save me the time and money of trying to think of something to give her on Christmas. Its hard shopping for my mom. And yes, I know everyone here is anti-Apple, especially when it comes to computers, but fuck it, YOLO! TCP
Fuck the haters, Strangelove. Congrats on finally owning a computer that doesn't suck.
Alex Heat
I don't hate Macs or Apple specifically. I hate what they STAND for.
Strangelove
Umm..non-Windows machine? That's what it mainly stands for to me.
Mal
I dunno, I think laptops are fair game in my eyes. I just can't do any iPhone, iPod, iMac or Mac Pro. So pretty much a good chunk of Apple products. I have some respect for the iPad. I think I can just deal with MacBooks. The only thing stopping me is the OS and perhaps the price. deanb
At least when you want something done a Macbook can always have Windows installed. (And as stated many times that's not even a "anti-apple" thing, that's just a simple "OSX straight up sucks" thing. Bootcamp is pretty much it's only saving grace.) Mal
If I post everything as a buy them, this thread would of gotten spammed to hell. Anyways: Map book for Game of Thrones, an outdoor hat for my field stuff, Halo: Cryptum and a brighter bike light. Main thing is the lights since for night is dark and full of terrors. I can't see shit with my current light so this brand new light is for the ground. If I aim it up, it would blind people. Also: Economy, your welcome. Hot Heart
Just checked through my wishlist, and a couple of things had dropped into that 'sweet spot'...though, the latter doing so last week would've been nicer.
