Battra92
I happened to spot this at Best Buy today. Personally, I'm catching up on my MST3K with Netflix. I buy very few DVDs and BLUs these days. MST3K is one of the very few shows that I still keep up with. Netflix is good for most things, though. Showmeyomoves!
It was only €15, so I was like meh. I've been waiting for the Director's Cut that has the Black Freighter scenes in it, but I gave up and just got this version for €15. Figured I might as well get this too. deanb
Used some Xmas money. Gonna put some more on to a LotR Blu-Ray extended when it comes out. Also deciding if I want to either get a full fold up bike or one of the under desk pedals only affairs. Fold up one is on sale so they'd cost the same. It's just size:functionality that I'm having the balance.
Battra92
Got this cheap on eBay. It's a region 2 disc but I have a region free player and can view PAL discs. My childhood called and I could not resist: Series 1 was released in the US but not S2.

"They're two they're four they're six they're eight! Pulling cars and shunting freight!" Yeah, I was a big nut for the old ones when I was a kid. I tried checking out some of the new ones and the nostalgia just isn't there. There's no Ringo Starr or George Carlin. Engines just kind of move on their own. There's no railway logic or rules observed. My fiancee is right, I am turning into Sheldon Cooper. @_@
deanb
So I guess I'm the only one spending money now? :-P I've got like £140 to spend on stuff from Xmas, so I'm window shopping about. But I think some of it I'm mostly gonna save towards game purchases n the like. Also some new t-shirts. So yeah, watch this space. Just no games I'm wanting coming out right away. Well for me I've been selling quite a few DVDs and stuff from my collection so with that I have money to buy the things I want. I also have a few gift cards I need to use up (like Payless, JC Penny and Borders) but there hasn't been much I want or any good sales. Without that it's just boring CGI trains going in circles.
Battra92
I worked over 9 hours overtime this week plus I sold about 15 of my current DVD collection so it's okay to splurge on some new titles (although Monsters Inc is more for the fiancee)
Hot Heart
I've been trying to watch my spending for a while now, so I'm not regularly splurging money. These were a pretty good price though.
CorgiShinobi
I was ready to go spend de moneys, but as I was at the bank, I soon realized I've only been paid for two days of work. MetalCaveman
Dudes! I'm blind, I couldn't find this thread Anyway: I bought the 3 Full Metal Panic! seasons on BD a while ago, should arrive next week or the week after I also got birthday money this week so I bought this: http://www.jlist.com/product/YB113 And I'm thinking about buying some more anime or pre-ordering this: http://store.nisamerica.com/Neptunia-PS3-Limited-Edition-Pack
deanb
Just bought a 1TB external drive. I have back-ups and such internally, but there's just something itching at my mind that it's not enough. Also gonna use it to dump everything off my current back-up drive, wipe it then re-partition. So that's a fair chunk of my Xmas cash gone.
Battra92
Well I sold a few more DVDs and took advantage of a Buy 2 Get 1 free sale at Barnes and Noble Probably not the forte of anyone here but my silent collection is certainly increasing. Battra92
I don't mean to double post but thanks to a Borders gift card and a nice 33% off promo I picked this up today: I should probably invest in something better than a 32 inch LCD someday ... Dev_Revenge
I've been buying Tron toys all week since I saw the movie finally. A little backstory before a pic flood, I grew up with the original TRON and was one of the lucky few that had TRON toys. My dad got me all four of the figures (Sark, Warrior, Tron and Flynn) and a red light cycle. I still have all of those, although my Tron was wounded early on when his head snapped off. I still have the head but it's been superglued back on so many times etc, so it's at my dad's house. He still has my lightcycle too. In the first couple of pics, you can see my three old figures sans Tron, and my newer lightcycle remake with smoke Sark new in box (limited to 10k pieces.) I'm going to add to my older figures collection but that's a good start. The rest of the stuff is newer Tron merchandise. I took these pics for another forum so I'm not going to geek out on explaining all the toys and shit here. But if anyone has any questions feel free to ask. In particular, the toy light cycles are really impressive (I don't have my Flynn retro one in yet but the other two are surprisingly bad-ass.) The other really impressive toys are the Deluxe Data Discs. There are three types, the Kevin Flynn white one is really clean looking and much harder to find than the other two. They all have some cool motion sound effects and lights, and you can 'clash' them together like real discs and it makes a sparkly sound. Really cool toys and look like nice display props too (they come with a stand.) On to the pics!

Mercurial
Flynn looks like Obiwan and I guess the discs are kind of cool. Edited January 18, 2011 by Hakidia
Dev_Revenge
Yeah no doubt, they fucked Flynn up. Wait until you see Sam. The 4" line is overpriced and has major QC issues unfortunately. I normally don't get into the larger dolls at all but this is one line where I'm glad I did. The 8" dolls have some nice special effects (Sam and Clu) and the discs actually fit on their backs. I don't have any yet but the two 12" guys are supposed to be really well done. They have diecast weapons. The other good product is the diecast miniatures. They are like really high quality matchbox designs. I'm going to get several of the Kevin Flynn designs and paint them into old school light cycle colors. Matchbox light cycles are bad ass. I don't have any pics of it yet but today I got the Kevin Flynn 8 GB USB memory stick, shaped just like his diecast cycle. It does a lightcycle effect when plugged in and lights up, it's a really nice piece.
