TheMightyEthan
At least it doesn't look like the cover of a 1980's VHS of a children's TV show like the Spider-Man one does.
Hot Heart
REM - Monster. Figured I'd like to hear some slightly different REM (seeing as I'd only heard the sole single release from the album). They can do no wrong. Chuck: Seasons 1-5 boxset. Had my eye on this for a while until it reached a reasonable price. Turns out Zavvi emailed me another 10% off code and were offering far better than Amazon anyway so: sold!
Strangelove
Im hoping to go pick up a cat at the SPCA this weekend, if I can get a ride to the place. I also need to pay the extra deposit for keeping a pet. Overall, this is going to cost me about a basic Wii U. Except this is way more entertaining. Faiblesse Des Sens
I think I've spent more money on my cat than games this year. I don't regret that in the slightest.
Strangelove
Yeah, Ive got a whole wish list on Amazon of cat stuff Im going to buy. I dont mind it at all.
TheFlyingGerbil
that blade runner cover reminds me a lot of heavy rain. I'd love to watch it again but I've only got it on VHS, and no way to play it.
Saturnine Tenshi
Not really a purchase but I got this for my birthday. However big it may appear on that wall is nothing compared to its actual size.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, based on its stated dimensions it's as tall as I am. That's an enormous poster.
Saturnine Tenshi
Yeah. I went to unroll it and it just kept unrolling. It's made of some sort of semi-transparent fabric, and it's partitioned into three pieces.

CorgiShinobi
$21.99 on Newegg. Practically everyone gets the older model, but this one comes with Nero.
Faiblesse Des Sens
What are you going to use it for? Seems so odd to see that. And what does Nero do that you can't do elsewhere or with built-in windows features? This seems like it's out of 2001.
CorgiShinobi
What am I going to use an optical drive for? Computer things that require a disc, either CD or DVD. Didn't feel the need to blow three times the amount on a Blu-ray drive when I already have a PS3 for movies, let alone if anyone ever actually hands me a Blu-ray storage disc. What am I going to use Nero for? Eh, for $2 it might be a handy alternative in case any of those other features in programs, or Windows itself, go hayware for any reason. Now, if you saw me buying a Zip drive, then this could be 2001, or probably '98-'99.
Faiblesse Des Sens
Computer things that require a disc I guess this is where I'm confused as I can't think of anything that requires a disc anymore.
TheMightyEthan
My Win 7 install disc is (obviously) on disc, but it would be easy enough to put an image on a USB drive and just use my key. I've got some old games that are on discs...
Saturnine Tenshi
Games still come on disc. The most recent I have is The Witcher 2.

Faiblesse Des Sens
That's quite the opposite sex repellent you purchased.
TheRevanchist
That's quite the opposite sex repellent you purchased. On a related note, my wife was laughing at me as I was telling the neighbor lady (cute, and she's a navy pilot/trainer in Top Gun school) about the 501st being at the library. Apparently, being myself is a sex repellent, so I just need to accept that. Hey, I gotta be me.
