I think it's fair to include windchill, after all that's what you're out in.

I agree, but I prefer to state it as "X temperature, feels like Y temperature".  At least to me that makes it more impressive.

True. The coldest it gets here ever is around -30 without windchill, but it's relatively common to see -10 or -15 without windchill. I just kinda took the average.

It was my father's birthday today/tonight. He's the kind of guy who can get you a great gift, but when it comes to him, he doesn't want anything. Well, he's about to be a grandpa (not from me), so I thought he and my mother would like to be able to see "da babby" when it's in its room. We are talking about half across the States, and while they Skype, it's probably about once a week.

Got myself some new glasses. They were bogof. Though only one has the anti-glare coating, and that'pd be the pair I'm thinking isn't fully fitted to my face, so going ot have to likely pop in for some tweaks at some point. It's just the one arm, feels a tad too short.

I've spent a shitload of money recently:

I bought these but they're too big: aQv8Q1M.jpg

As in they actually hurt to put in. The package says they're a large fit instead of standard but the Amazon page doesn't seem to mention size at all. A few of the reviews mention that they only come in large but most other reviews are positive. =\

Ear plugs. I see a lot of live music. I got serious about plugs a few years ago when there were 2 shows within a month or so period that absolutely destroyed my hearing for a few days after each show. Ever since then I've always tried to remember to bring plugs.

But yes, I've used the Aeropress, and it's amazing. It's incredibly easy to use and clean and the coffee tastes great. Just boil water and then in under 2 minutes after that you have a cup of espresso. I've yet to get anal over water temps but I just try and get it right before boiling. My two favorite things are that it makes a cup of coffee directly into your cup of coffee and that clean-up is incredibly simply. You compress the grounds so much that you just pop out all of them at once and wipe off whatever remains.

No filters, no nadda huh? I might look into getting one then.

The pack on Amazon comes with a fat stack of paper filters (I think you use one per cup.) However, I bought this: http://www.amazon.com/Able-Fine-Coffee-Filter-Aeropress/dp/B00D1X0MQU/

So it's a filter I just wash off and I'm done.

what TV did you get?

I linked it to the pic! It was $750 for a few days and the 55 inch model was also on sale but almost instantly sold out.

oh I missed that! Nice!

Been thinking of updating my TV (46" LCD 120 hz, about 4 years old), probably next year and moving my current into our newly established basement.  I'm skipping 3D and looking strictly at traditional LED tvs though
