Saturnine Tenshi
Is the G15 mechanical? If it isn't, I don't want a mechanical!
TheMightyEthan
>Acting smugly superior because of the kind of switch in your keyboard. *Edit* - Apparently people act like you can't feel when you've actually made a keystroke on a rubber dome keyboard. That's just ridiculous. They must be using especially shitty ones. Or they're just hipsters who want to act like it makes a meaningful difference. Don't get me wrong, clicky is nice, but my G510 is a rubber dome keyboard and it's plenty clicky. Saturnine Tenshi
Whatever mine is, it feels wonderful.
CorgiShinobi
Mine's mechanical partially because I wanted a compact keyboard. I never use the numeric keypad, even if it does have applications in gaming. I was looking at the X4 this past summer, just it's too long. staySICK
I was originally looking at mechanical, I do want one eventually but they were all at least twice the price of the sidewinder. I'll get a mechanical later. Edited December 20, 2013 by staySICK
Faiblesse Des Sens
Mine's mechanical partially because I wanted a compact keyboard. I never use the numeric keypad, even if it does have applications in gaming. I was looking at the X4 this past summer, just it's too long. Mine is ten-keyless and I love the compact size. Also it was $40. Mechanical can be cheap if you shop around and wait for sales.
Saturnine Tenshi
$40 is a good price for any decent keyboard. What do you have?
Faiblesse Des Sens
http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-keyboards-keypads/razer-blackwidow-tournament-stealth-edition/ I leave the lights off because fuck that ricer shit.
Saturnine Tenshi
Stealth edition?! I can use this while I'm creepin' outside people's windows!
staySICK
I prefer a 10 key. Gotta have those larger keyboards. Even have 10 key on my laptop. I hear good things about Ducky, was going to give the 2108 a try later or if I can find it under
Faiblesse Des Sens
What's the benefit of a larger keyboard besides the numpad?
staySICK
really no benefit beyond comfort level. It's all subjective / preference when you get into that area. I'm not knocking the smaller or 10 keyless keyboards, it's just a matter of my preference.
Faiblesse Des Sens
What makes it more comfortable?
deanb
When we shifted office boss was suggesting I use the spare diddy mac keyboard. Way too small, and when you're whacking in numbers the numpad is great. (which for the X4 is extra nice as the calculator shortcut is right above). Also I run a tight ship, so not like I need to be cramped up to save desk space. Also...you own a Razer product. HAHAHA.
Faiblesse Des Sens
I said I leave off lights! Besides that you wouldn't even notice it's a razer product. Can't beat $40 for a mechanical keyboard.
staySICK
...I don't have an issue with my deathadder...
CorgiShinobi
I had a Deathadder. Only thing I didn't like about it was the Back and Forward buttons were a bit too big, but I believe the 2013 Edition model fixed them. Still, I went with an Anker gaming mouse because 1) $25, and 2) I don't need macros on my mouse.
Mister Jack
I actually liked the big buttons on the Deathadder. What I didn't like was how the bastard broke after one year. I use a g500 now which is nice except MY PC DOESN'T RECOGNIZE THE MIDDLE SIDE BUTTON. Edited December 21, 2013 by Mister Jack
deanb
The lights aren't really the issue (The X4 has lights too), it's the fact they've a habit of coming apart pretty quickly. Which you can tell MS dept that gets their PC peripherals and the MS dept that gets their consoles made are in separate divisions, MS peripherals are built to last (which is probably why they're such a school/office favourite where function > form)

Mister Jack
I tried installing three different versions of that stupid thing and none of them ever worked.
deanb
I wanted one that's family friendly, since this'll be played with 10 and under kids as well, but while also not being the Family Fluxx cos that's very specifically targeted at families and thus would limit non-family play. Mal
Last time I buy something from a physical import store... Import price is actually cheaper. Pleinair book sleeve got me. I'm planning to get volume 2 which will come out at $20 less. Oh well. For the actual book itself... it got in progress shots. Hell, it even has the rough sketch mockups which is awesome. deanb
Still wrapping my head around it, since I'm pretty sure they actually paid me to take the watch. Or for the one month of GeekSquad stuff. I guess I'll play around with both for a month and figure out which one they'd have to have paid me to take. Faiblesse Des Sens
Is that the Samsung smartwatch? If so that's what they've paid you to not have in their store anymore.
