20090626_chingoo_1.jpg?w=450&h=670 I have S. Korean friends :)

Blu-Ray import

51zMkJTJBFL._SL500_AA300_.jpgI've already got the DVD for free thanks to work (which now I guess my father in law would like).

A few of the things I got last week... I really need to keep track of these. I'm mostly buying a RED One camera later in the year. It should help me cut down on costs once everything's in motion.

I really wish this version had been region free. The use of German inter-titles and the better packaging make that a must buy.

I'm still cool with my US Blu-Ray from Kino, though.

While the Blu-Ray isn't I'm sure you can buy the DVD and it comes with pretty much everything except of course it's a DVD and won't be 1080p.

I pretty much buy whatever Fritz Lang rereleaes there are. Just like I know I'd buy re-releases of Dziga Vertov.

That's true, I've got one which I sort of need for work. Helps me see some shows a little ahead of time.

I do know that Eureka had plans to release the same version in the US but something happened somewhere. Eureka's trying to do more Criterion like releases here. Now that the BFI here has taken on the role of the UKFC (which is now defunct) it's likely that we'll get interesting re-releases.

Sorry Watermans don't do it for me very much. Much prefer Cross or Caran d'Ache. Then again like Ethan I prefer Ballpoint pens unless it's like some really important+special legal document :).

Besides don't girls have much better handwriting anyway? If you're truly a professional make it as illegible as possible, the worse the legibility the greater your professional importance (with a few exceptions of course). XD

Haha.

But if you knew Battra you'd be aware he considers himself a rare exception. :P

You know me? Actually my dad has better handwriting than my mom (though both have good handwriting) but he chalks that up to Catholic school. Me being Protestant and having gone to Lazy Union Workers (aka Public) School my handwriting isn't as nice as theirs.

Yeah I've got a nice Parker whimsy flims mark n scribbler. That's pretty much good enough for me.

I've got a Parker Ballpoint with the company's name on it. I admit I really dig the arrow for a clip.

I would say at least in the UK, children aren't really taught to write properly any more (parents' generation would have been)so it would mostly be for younger people that the girl and boy handwriting thing kicks in as we were basically left to our own devices after we were taught to print with a kick at the end of each letter and girl's tend to have naturally more legible writing than boys.
