slithy toves
the evil dead tetsuo the iron man there will be blood blue velvet the fall I...I...think I may be in love. I haven't seen The Fall yet (it's in my Netflix Queue), but I love all those other movies. Well, I prefer Mulholland Drive or INLAND EMPIRE to Blue Velvet, but all of those movies are fantastic. The fact that you've seen Tetsuo The Iron Man is alone a wonderful thing. That movie is ridiculous and awesome. also, death by mechanical penis. even if the rest of the movie were complete shit there is death by mechanical penis. That was so fucked up and great. How do you feel about Svankmajer or the Quay Brothers? Little Otik is pure brilliance, as is Street of Crocodiles. Little Otik is pure brilliance, as is Street of Crocodiles. i've somehow never seen anything by the quay brothers but i'll have to check them out. i enjoyed svankmajer's alice, though it certainly wasn't my favorite. there was something... painful about the whole thing. it's funny that you mention little otik because i was watching that while i was home sick last week. i fell asleep during it in my medicated stupor, but for the bits that i saw i was really getting a dead alive kind of vibe from it. i have to get back to watching it. diedan
Otik is so strange. Seemed a bit more early Jeunet than Jackson to me (especially with movies like Delicatessan), but I can see the comparison. It's actually been years since I've watched either of those filmmakers, but I really want to go watch some of Svankmajer's other stuff. I've yet to see Faust, Conspirators of Pleasure, or Lunacy. I've mostly watched his short films. Speaking of which, if you do watch anything from the Quay Brothers, skip out on their features. They're sooooo boring. The shorts are where it's at. King Jimmeh
Transformers: The Movie and A Knight's Tale. Both films I've seen too many times, though I haven't watched AKT for a couple of years *eyes up copy to put on 360 next* A Knight's Tale is a favourite cos I enjoy films that mix comedy and action, so I also like Rush Hour, Shanghai Noon/Nights, Get Smart (Remake). I think it comes from my love of Spider-Man and his quips when he fights. Then Transformers is definitely a thing from my childhood. Anything that transformed was awesome to me, and the best of those were always G1 Transformers, with the film being the definite high-point. Hot Heart
North by Northwest would have to be number one if I were forced to choose. But you'd always have a mix of favourites: Anchorman La Haine Twin Warriors Falling Down Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Lord of the Rings trilogy Nolan's Batman films The Matrix

Yantelope
I just looked up John Huges to find out why he's not making movies. I guess he retired young and then died of a heart attack last year. "In 1994, Hughes retired from the public eye and moved back to the Chicago area. Hughes was considerably shaken by John Candy's sudden death of a heart attack that same year (in a strange twist of fate, a heart attack would also take Hughes' life 15 years later)." Crazy. I miss his old movies. They were such greatness.

Hot Heart
Yeah. It's an 'interesting' film. The main character's a bit of a jerk, but you still care for and empathise with him. It also has some great scenes.

Battra92
It's impossible for me to pick just one so I have a short list In order of their creation: The General (1926) Metropolis (1927) The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) Gone with the Wind (1939) Meet Me in St Louis (1944) Singin' in the Rain (1952) Gojira (original Japanese version of Godzilla) (1954) The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) Oh gosh, I could go on forever. :-)

Outkastprince
The Count of Monte Cristo (2002), any movie with James Caviezel and Guy Pearce is bound to be brilliant.
Battra92
Gone with the Wind (1939) Meet Me in St Louis (1944) Singin' in the Rain (1952) Love you really. It's kind of funny. I'm in no way homosexual or even metrosexual. I don't know what styling gel is for. My clothes rarely match. I don't wear body spray (man purfume) or carry a man-purse. Oh and I don't have any attraction to men at all. I also love breasts, fighting games, sex with women and yes, movies that gay people like. It's one reason I stopped hanging around photography clubs and stuff. People started to think if you have any creative talent you must be to the left of Marx and gay. I am neither. :-P I also pass the straight test because I cringe whenever Glee is on. :-P
