deanb
So a wee heads up on this Amazon thing: Just got in the monthly report for the UK account and it turns out it lists the purchases made. Someone bought some bulbs, a thoughtful gift no doubt. I don't get names, but just to be aware don't be picking up anything you wouldn't know me to know you'd be buying. TheMightyEthan
I'd be tempted to buy creepy things just to mess with dean.
Eleven
You need to sort out that Amazon US thing though!
deanb
Updated with the TES stuff, if anyone has a nicer slightly higher rest version of the Morrowind logo that'd be swell. (especially one that doesn't look too much like the Skyrim one)
TheMightyEthan
I updated it to say 2015, but I noticed the funds info is still from 2013.
deanb
Oh as in the "current funds", that's cos I can't be arsed updating it all the time. iirc it's...I think at 0 again. I think last payment out included both the PAypal n Bank details in the invoice.
Eleven
I voted for Morrowind. Though it says I voted for FFVII. Which is ok, too, i guess. (still no Amazon US?)
deanb
1. Yeah I've changed the pictures around, updated some of the post. Haven't been arsed to delve deep into the PayPal side of things and get those updated. It's easy enough to work out on my side. 2. No one from America has yet to prod me on Steam and offer 5 minutes of their time and a phone number for me to be able to set that up yet. TheMightyEthan
I just never remember it at a time that I could actually do it.
TheMightyEthan
Never fails, the bank always calls to make sure you aren't scamming me.
TheFlyingGerbil
I was listening to a podcast that mentioned that, in July, Amazon updated the links you need to use for referrals so was just wondering if you had updated the ones on here and eanyone that has the link saved would need to update their bookmark. deanb
So long time no post. First of all thanks to the recent-ish generous donation by ThursdayNext. Anywho, for those not in the know I've been off work sick for the past few months and SSP doesn't pay much beyond necessities so just kind of poking for another donation drive to top up funds. We're good for next month with the remainder of Thursdays donation, but peace of mind always good (also that's covering just the hosting, my plan to upgrade this place now I've the time off is sorta busted by not having paid for this years licensing...) Daniel suggested Patreon which I have looked into but seems that's set up more for blogs (which ours is quite inactive) and the like. But if folks would prefer something like that I can delve further into it (or if anyone using Patreon is more familiar with it to provide advice that'd be cool). Also the Amazon thing on the UK front at least is not far off being able to cash out the first £20!
TheMightyEthan
Patreon might be a good idea just because then you don't have to rely on people remembering to donate, they just set up a recurring one.
Hot Heart
I agree that Patreon would probably work better.
danielpholt
I'd be all up for a monthly Patreon donation.
Thursday Next
I agree a monthly sub would be easier for me. Otherwise, don't be shy about reminders. I'm always happy to chuck some money at this forum.
deanb
https://www.patreon.com/pxod All sorta set up. Need to make a cover photo but I currently have nothing large enough for that. Probably refine some of the goals a bit, there's modules and stuff you can pay for but I've never massively looked at them but could maybe make things a bit nicer around here. Thursday Next
Sweet. Cheers for sorting that Dean.
TheMightyEthan
Sweet, signed up. Just FYI, I chose no reward because it wanted my mailing address and stuff for the Donator award. Did you accidentally set that as a physical reward or something?
deanb
Sorted. Yeah there was a couple automatically picked options that make me think a lot of Patreon stuff isn't set up entirely with digital things in mind (big default is a pre-thing made, rather than being a monthly thing). danielpholt
Okay. So when do we get our podcast? Will that be funded by Patreon too or will we go the Kickstarter route? Also signed up. Also why is Podcast still not a word my computer recognizes?
Hot Heart
Wait a minute... $1.00 plus VAT? That's, like, a hundred english pounds now!
TheMightyEthan
What are the $15 and $25 tier goals? Are they just defaults or do they represent something real?
deanb
Huh, those were filled in. Oh I see, there's a Goal Title, which I have filled in, then a Description, which I've only done on the final tier. And there's nothing default about them, the default is no goals. And I had mulled a $1000 "Coach Surfing around everyone's house" goal too. Sorted.
