The Legend of Korra

Yeah, he's young and it's not like there aren't any girls who would go out with him. When Mako first sees Korra, he thinks it's another fangirl that Bolin has brought along. The trick is finding a girl who doesn't flip out over being with "Bolin from the Fire Ferrets."

Book Two episode idea: Bolin goes on a date with a girl, but she's completely insane. Bolin doesn't quite recognize this yet until Bolin and her go on a double date with Mako and Korra where the two get weird-out.

Book two episode idea: Shit happens where it doesn't focus on romance.

I like romance in my media, but not when it's the focus.

The sad truth is that we'll have an ounce of romance guaranteed given the fangirls are putty in the hands of Bryke.

No, but seriously, a little confirmation on the status of Makorra will probably turn up if anything. Viewers do want to see Bolin have another shot at romance, but personally my #1 Want in Book Two is a "Sifu Lin and Student Bolin" scenario. For all intents and purposes, I'm hoping that the pro-bending league is postponed due to repairs to Republic City. This way we can see character development outside of an arena.

Heck, maybe now that Korra has all four elements, we could cut to her finishing Tenzin's training (like she was finishing her firebending in Ep. 1) and going around the world doing Avatar stuff. Mako and Bolin could come along easily, and maybe the group could survive off Asami's money (though I'm sure the Avatar receives killer discounts).

EDIT: Blew my mind!

I don't understand what's mind-blowing...

I'm gonna assume that it's cos at the end of each book, where Avatar is learning that skill, they end up in that nation fending against/with that recently learnt element. Which yea..ain't that mind bending. Book 2: Earth, ends up in Earth Kingdom, up against earth benders.

Sorry, should have put more context...

I might have exaggerated a bit, but it's the color of each season finale. In Book One, it's a blue hue; Book Two, green hue; Book Three, red/orange hue. This I've known for a long while, especially considering that it's really "in your face" in Book Three.

What "blew my mind" is that LoK's Book One, Air, did the same thing because there is a prominent white/grey hue along with open skies.

I could fight tooth-and-nail to defend the "finale was pretty good" stance. I say this because I see a lot of "hold off until Book Two" arguments, but it's like these "fans" have forgotten that Book One was really just going to be "Legend of Korra." This "first season" was completed much earlier (It's why we could get a new episode almost every Saturday), and heck, development for Book Two is still ongoing.

It's not as though the goal was to be a self-contained season, but a self-contained mini-series. There is an inherent problem with that; development has narrow windows and can happen unnaturally.

Take my analysis of Mako, but you could only understand him from that point if you remember one episode: The Revelation. That's his "development" and how we're suppose to understand him through the nine other episodes. Truth be told, months do pass during the series, though with the fast paced nature of the show it's easy to miss it. Asami does go through a "full arc," but it's rather basic due to how each new episode was another stage in her development.

I could go on, I think I've made it clear how the whole season is Korra's development on identity, fear, and mortality.

(But seriously, I actually hope for once that if I get another topical paper in college, if Legend of Korra is applicable, I'm going to write a novel.)

Ugh. Nick just ordered 26 more episodes after the second season. I'm sorry but unless this show turns a full 180 there's no possible way they can squeeze 2-4 13 episode seasons into it.

I mean did the creators not expect that this show would get popular? Did they not expect Nick would throw cash at them to keep making what is arguably their most popular cartoon that brings in the most audiences since the 90's?

More importantly, what the fuck is Korra supposed to do for all these seasons? Aang had to learn the different bendings, Korra already

knows everything and can enter the Avatar state at will

. Unless they pull something out of their ass and have like the Anti-vatar that can bend anti-fire, anti-air, and anti-earth what are they supposed to do?

Another big nation war? Boring.

Aliens invading and have them higgs-bend? Boring.

Mutant benders with a half shell? Turtle power.
