I haven't been able to find it...

*Edit* - Never mind, it just wasn't at the normal places I look.

*Edit 2* - The ones I can find are only low quality though.  I'll hold out for an HD copy.

I was hoping there was going to be an encore either later tonight or tomorrow, but doesn't look like it. I had to work tonight and my shift ended right when the premiere did.

I've found a few online, but at this point I'll wait until tomorrow when I'm rested and ready to take in an hour of premiere goodness. I do wonder though if Nick would eventually upload the episode online like with Book 1.

Just watched the first two episodes.  I don't like the twins as characters, I wish they had done them differently.  Otherwise my thoughts are:

Totally saw the invasion of the South by the North coming when Unaloq was giving his speech.

Opening the spirit portal seemed too easy.

Korra seems extra bitchy.

Hopefully the season picks up, because this was not a great start.

You guys got me worrying!

I'm waiting later tonight to watch the two episodes on Nick.com where I'll run an HDMI cable from my laptop to the HDTV so others can watch too. The only thing I've gathered with a passing glance is that people seem to like where Jinora is going, like both in character and sub-plot.

This was a pretty boring way to introduce the most obvious antagonist ever.

Yeah, pretty much as soon as he was introduced I said to my wife "I'd say he's gonna be the bad guy, but that would be too obvious"

*Edit* - Though I am hopeful that he'll be a greyer villain than what we've had.

Alright, finished watching the first two episodes!

So the obvious downside is that Korra had to devolve from the prior season, which I kinda expected since Book 1 was suppose to be Legend of Korra, nothing more. You know, create some conflict, rough edges, and so forth. Even so, she really went full-on bitch. At times I felt it was justified (for plot), but when she straight up told her father, "No, you're leaving," I couldn't believe what I saw.

So, everything changed when the Northern Water Tribe attacked.

About the Spirits, the way I see it, Unaloq was right for the wrong reasons, and Tonraq was wrong for the right reasons. Unaloq is right that the Southern Water Tribe lost their spiritual way, but it's obvious that he's going to use his mastery of Spirits to force a rein of "unified" Water Tribe leadership, probably without his brother. About Tonraq, to put it simply, he was comfortable with leaving the Spirits blocked off because of his prior mistake. He had once angered them, so any other involvement meant trouble, in his eyes, for him and the Southern Water Tribe. He wanted to live in peace after his banishment.

Then again, maybe Unaloq had some mischievous involvement that far back too. I'm also liking Jinora's involvement, who I'm sure will instruct Korra in spiritual matters. Bolin is thinking with his dick too much, I like Mako's direction so far, and Aang's kids get to go on an adventure. Not to mention I like how Tenzin and Pema are like saviors at the Southern Air Temple. "Mother of the next generation of Air Benders!"

I want the Appa doll.

Yeah Korra is pretty bitchy. I will say I'm a fan of them seemingly bringing a bunch of the old silly randomness back which is nice.

Spiritbending is kinda   as you'd think it'd be something at least touched upon in prior series. Seems a bit of a deus ex machina. Couldn't they come up with a different solution instead of pulling a new form of bending out their arse each problem that comes up?

I'm up for giving it the benefit of the doubt. It is only two episodes so far. And yeah, gotta balance of the fact it seems that series 1 was meant to be standalone unlike TLA. It's gotta set up the whole spirit stuff too I guess.

Oh and as for the end (just before portal opened):

I've seen this before, I know where it's going. But isn't this a kids show?

Is what Unaloq doing considered "spiritbending?" It seems like a single waterbending technique that changes the Spirit's attribute and not much else. Unless he displays more control over them, I'd like to think maybe the other bending arts have a spirit technique.

You know, or otherwise I'm gonna have to call waterbending OP! Water, ice, blood, plants, healing, and now spirits? Pfft...
