Mister Jack
I dunno why, but I think my favorite scene was when Bo Lin caught Mako and Korra together. My heart went out to him when he was standing there with that devastated look on his face, but then all of a sudden he just gets all snot-nosed and starts running away like a girl. I felt guilty for laughing. Also this Edited May 6, 2012 by Mister Jack

CorgiShinobi
I dunno why, but I think my favorite scene was when Bo Lin caught Mako and Korra together. My heart went out to him when he was standing there with that devastated look on his face, but then all of a sudden he just gets all snot-nosed and starts running away like a girl. I felt guilty for laughing. Not necessarily my favorite, but I reacted just the same. In fact, it seems nearly everyone reacted the same if you look online. It was a sad scene, but it was comically as well. Also love that other scene, especially the reaction of the older couple. If I had to have a favorite, it was... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fli8rQxkrRs (Clip is reversed, probably to avoid copyright.) I like how Mako and Bolin get a scene to be normal brothers talking about a girl. Clip doesn't show it, but I would include the little bit with Pabu too. "You love me though, right Pabu?" Oh, and another favorite is the bit where Pabu slides out of the restaurant on his noodle filled belly. Speaking of, another being when Korra whistled for Naga and scared the piss outta that... douche-guy whatever his name.
Waldorf and Statler
Pabu is just too adorable. Especially that scene with his fat little belly sliding. He looks like a red panda, and I love those.
CorgiShinobi
I completely forgot about this, but another scene I really liked was the tie breaker with Bolin. It's neat to see that those responsible for the show took great thought into a sport centered on bending. Like, it's a fictional sport that could actually be realistically played (if we had powers). Waldorf and Statler
I appreciate the effort they've put into the sport and the old timey feel of the whole show... but I want to see character development and fighting action like the one between Korra and Mako vs the Equalist ninjas. That was just beautifully animated.
CorgiShinobi
Well that's why I think we had this whole episode feature a big mash-up of shipping material. Getting it out of the way so there can be more focus on tasks at hand. I'm sure some moments it would have been appropriate to have Korra (and Bolin) showing signs of a crush, but as teens the hormones would create a distraction, like perhaps during a fight against revolutionary forces. Now it's leveled out, for the most part. Definitely within a few episodes later there will probably be some sign of romance progression, like what I said in my spoiler, but the worst part of awkward teen romances has past. Besides, I still think all that went on in the episode will benefit Bolin, but probably screw over Mako. Mako will be like Zuko, except with girl trouble instead of family drama. Waldorf and Statler
Yeah honestly a big part of the awkward teen hormone romance drama is done. Now they all know how they feel about each other and have made peace with what they can and can't get, and who has feelings for who and why it can't work. I'm actually a big fan of shipping. I enjoyed the episode when watching it by myself, but i saw it again with my friends and pretty much had to make jokes the whole time so it wouldn't get awkward alongside their awkward flirting and feelings. I'm glad they got it over with. Like you mentioned, the shipping is too popular among the female population. A small minority in youtube seems to be especially hurt over how x character treated y and are swearing off the show. Passionate to say the least. As to my personal opinion? Though it won't happen, I'd love for Korra to end up with Bolin. Bolin is a sweet guy but is gonna end up as the funny buddy/Sokka character of this series which is a shame. They've hinted too much that the Mako/Korra thing will probably end up being the final result.
deanb
Question: Moka and Bolin are biological brothers right? Just something that's bugged me for a while since they're different bending elements. Unsure on this episode, pretty cliché lovey-dovey stuff I guess. I could see it becoming Korra and Bolin in the end, though there's rooms to introduce other characters. I'm actually getting a bit bored of Republic City at this point, even 5 episodes in. I'd like for them to be heading around the world some more, see how stuff has advanced n changed, introduce new areas n such.
Waldorf and Statler
Book one will probably all be in Republic City. Book two will probably have them go somewhere else. And yes Mako and Bolin are biological brothers. Remember Republic city is a city mixed with different benders and their parents seem to have been an earth and fire bender. Mister Jack
I wouldn't hold my breath for them leaving republic city. I believe the creators said they want to keep the majority of the action there so it isn't too much like Aang's globetrotting in the last series. CorgiShinobi
Perhaps if they win the pro-bending tournament, I'm sure Bolin will be covered in ladies and find a girl who likes fire ferrets too.
Waldorf and Statler
Hopefully he will. Bolin is my favorite character. The funny guy always is. Plus Pabu. That's like a win win.

Waldorf and Statler
You and me both buddy. I signed up to a youtube channel that only does updates for the show, has discussion and brings in clips of the next episode throughout the week
TheMightyEthan
I got spoiled by that one week where the episode leaked early, so now I'm like "is it out yet?!" every Tuesday.
Waldorf and Statler
hahahaha I was hoping the episode would air in Britain earlier and somebody would upload it. But alas, it didn't. I did that with the season finale of Avatar TLA. Can almost swear it aired overseas before the US
