Walking Dead Game

I'm beginning to suspect that there's an agreement for reviewers to withhold their scorces for the week so there's a flow of consumers who buy the game on name alone. Watching the above video makes me not even want to rent the game for $2 to have my own experience of this... thing.

The funny thing is that early footage leaked a little while ago and everyone vilified it, then it turned out that footage wasn't supposed to be used for a preview so all the outlets had to backpedal and say that the final product would be better and that it was wrong of them to judge the game based on alpha footage.

But I'm pretty sure that deep down they knew.

We all knew.

They claimed it wasn't supposed to be publicly released, but it was stupid of everyone to backpedal because the source of the footage was the developers themselves showing it on GTTV.  If you don't want people to see it why did you fucking show it on GTTV?

*Edit* - Or was it IGN?  It was something like that.

I highly doubt Survival Instinct will sell more than Telltale's Walking Dead. There's so much more working for that game (sales promotions, retail release, word of mouth, etc) that a turd of a game that has five reviews, which only two are major reviewers, and all with a very low score, along with avid fan hatred... It just can not do better.

Could be close, though Telltales does have the long tail (and highly successful iOS release). Keep in mind this Walking Dead has the same word of mouth; "man that walking dead game is so good, you should get it"*, also a retail release from the get go instead of 8 months later.

*This is pretty much how I ended up with Final Fantasy IX years back btw.

Has anyone played 400 Days yet?  It's short but it's definitely worth the five dollars and it sets up season 2 pretty well.  Even though each scenario was only about 30 minutes, they were all still really well-written and managed to get me invested in the characters, even though I didn't have much time to get to know them.

Or, you know,

maybe you didn't want to have to put Clem through the trama of shooting her pseudo-father. Either option sucks, because you either kill your best friend and guardian, or you let him be to pass away and resurrect as a Walker.

But I can guarantee either option is/will have a negative emotional effect on the other person. There's no escaping some lingering thought of what has happened in the past where essentially, and hypothetically, your

whole group has died off, with the possible exception of being with Omid and Christa, and if Kenny actually did make it out. The whole, "Unless I see a body, they're still alive."
