Well Desmond ends up choking on a pretzel, than it shows you the deaths of Altair and Ezio, and they died the same way. Just kidding, Johnny.

Honestly I'd just YouTube the ending, there's some cool cinematics with the ancient sci-fi people, and Ezio also talks to Desmond which gave me CHILLS!

Also watch the Embers film, it's only 20 minutes long, doesn't have any Desmond in it but wraps up Ezio's story. He had a nice ending, in the same square as his father and brothers.

Ezio falls in love and continues the seed of one of the branches of Desmond's ancestors.

Altair moves on from his life without his wife and also dies holding an apple of eden if I recall correctly.

We are shown what is going to happen to our current world from a previous futuristic generation of demigod looking people. Think Atlantis mixed with Battlestar Galactica. I'd watch the final clip.

All throughout the game Desmond is in a coma. He talks to subject 16 who is trapped in the animus and explains to desmond how to regain his sanity and consciousness. Your hub world is this white inceptiony area. Once in a while you hear the british guy and the other chick assassin talking about how you killed whats-her-face catfish-lady in the previous game. You hear Desmond's father as well, talking to them. You figure out they brought him to New York as this is the location of the vault. Desmond figures out what he needs to do from the final cutscene shit and he wakes up saying so. the game ends.

Basically wikipedia the plot, watch the final cutscene and you'll know exactly what's going on.

The bits where you see what happened to Altaĩr after AC1 are pretty good, too. They're mostly relegated to being a side-quest (think the Assassin Tombs from AC2 or the Romulus Lairs from ACB) but they were the most interesting part of ACR for me.

The Desmond stuff is mostly about his past. I enjoyed it because I'm really into the AC lore but it's not really important to the overall story. The gameplay in those sections is horrible, though.

I liked brotherhood, but I still felt 2 was a superior game story wise and i preferred the setting. I will be getting revelations soon, I got AC1 around the time 2 came out, I got AC2 around the time brotherhood came out and got Brotherhood around the time Revelations came out. Looks like I'm a game behind, but if I play them back to back I'll get a little bored of them.

My favorite cinematic of any of the AC games, the first time you rode your horse to a major city in AC1, and the camera panned out and showed the city. That was spectacular.

AC3's naval battles look so cool, I can't wait to get my hands on them! Sadly, they remind me of that cancelled Pirates of the Caribean game that looked really neat.

Undermines Connor? Every single demo, trailer, behind the scenes, making of the game has showcased Connor and ONLY Connor. I think he's had more than enough of the spotlight. I was hoping to see a bit of Desmond out of this before the game came out, and...well, here he is. I doubt we'll be seeing much more of him until the game's release.

I'll explain.

I'm not talking about any kind of coverage, but what the Desmond trailer is about through the monologue. Desmond's dad goes on about the challenges Desmond and the Assassins have faced, and etc. Thing is, he pretty much is stating that Desmond is at his prime because he has the knowledge of Altair and the skills of Ezio (we did have 3 games of him). Nothing about Connor, though we know Connor will be the primary character for the game.

Just, what will his contribution be if Desmond is prepared? Thus, we might be going back into the Animus to discover the location of the North American vault (or so I think).

Yeah I don't see much use to Connor besides finding out the location of the vault. Problem is this game needs to be extra long unless they expect to end the supposed trilogy by giving shitty screen time to either I hope Desmond doesn't get like one big mission in New York where he finds the Apple, saves the world and that's it. It'd seem like the whole lead-up to playing as him would be for naught.
