TheMightyEthan
I disagree with that, but hey, preferences! I do agree that it would have been better with maybe 8 dungeons instead of 4 (maybe separated into two classes, not all being Divine Beasts), and actually having a final dungeon, but I like the approach overall. CorgiShinobi
I disagree, but yeah preferences. I do have my nitpicks here and there, but I do strongly believe this is a title worthy of being The Legend of Zelda. It's a successful mold breaker as, really, things could have been a lot worse. For example, I think I actually tolerate the voice acting because it's not inherently bad. The voices are mostly fine, it's just unfortunately we have a English Dubbing effect going on here. The mannerisms of Japanese voice acting don't translate neatly when English voice actors have to get the same message to the player. For example, I like Mipha's voice, but the pacing at which her lines are spoken is off. She's the shy Japanese schoolgirl who can't spit it out, but in English speaking it comes out disjointed. Daruk, great voice, but at times there's no pause between sentences. Probably the worse offender is... Yunobo. When you save him, the yelling is cringe inducing because of how hollow the emotion is compared to the body movement. Then as he's breathing, it's such an awkward moment as you question if this really got approved for the game. Otherwise I have no other complaints. At first I wasn't sure about Zelda's accent, but it grew on me after a couple more scenes showing how deep her character became.
TCP
My main complaint: it's so good, it makes all other Zelda games worse in comparison.
TheFlyingGerbil
What percentage where you guys at when you completed the story?
TheMightyEthan
You can see your percentage?
TheFlyingGerbil
When you've completed the story it shows your percentage in the bottom left corner of the map
TheMightyEthan
Oh, I never loaded the game again after finishing the story.
TCP
I heard the percentage is calculated by mainly Korok seeds and shrine discovery (not completion). Maybe location discovery too? Quests, equipment finds, etc, are not factored in. You can however see how many quests you have to do on the quest screens. I was 29.11% when I finished the game. TheMightyEthan
Nintendo has released a patch that, on Switch at least, fixes most of the framerate issues: (video has some light environmental spoilers) The patch is also on Wii U, although it appears the improvement is far less dramatic. CorgiShinobi
Lately the only thing now that ever bothers me about framerate is that when I land a critical shot on a Moblin in an active environment, the effect and character animation causes the game to hitch for somewhere around three seconds. Seems to only happen on the first time because I'll shoot again and nothing bad happens. Edited March 31, 2017 by Atomsk88
TheMightyEthan
Is that on Wii U or Switch? I ask because I've seen other people mentioning horrible multi-second hitches, but I've never seen that happen. The worst I've seen is just general low framerate in certain situations/every town. I'm playing on Wii U.
CorgiShinobi
On WiiU. It's not every time, but what's interesting to me is that it only happens when I land a critical shot on a Moblin. No other enemy type and the only difference is that Moblins are the larger common enemy type that can ragdoll.

CorgiShinobi
It's blank to me. Was it perhaps the floating cart trick that's all the rage now? EDIT: Pulled URL from Inspect, here it is https://twitter.com/SharkticCircle/status/849467022228553728 It's funny, but seriously the weapon degradation becomes such a none issue halfway through the game when you're being given great weapons just from playing the game. No farming, just playing. If I jump back on tonight I'll take a screenshot of my inventory where I'm only 3 Divine Beasts down. I would say this has been my experience too: http://www.dorkly.com/post/82885/zelda-breath-of-the-wild-beginning-vs-end Edited April 8, 2017 by Atomsk88

TheMightyEthan
Apparently Nintendo has sold more copies of Zelda on Switch in the US than they have sold Switches...
TCP
Damn, over a 100% attach rate. GOTY!
CorgiShinobi
Because people wanted to at least get the game around launch with promos/discounts since Nintendo games hardly ever drop in price. Sure the thing is sitting there doing nothing, but at least you got it for cheaper. Then there's that rich minority of gamer that buys a collector's edition to sit on their shelf while they play a standard copy.
