I've got it on my watchlist. And you're not the only one to mention the gratitous levels of nudity.

Currently I'm watching Fringe as kind of my "background to gaming" show. Last time I watched it was the first couple series in binge mode then the rest in old-fashioned waiting each week mode so it'll be interesting to see how much more I notice in the fifth/final series.

Also do you know how hard it is to formulate your searches for fringe videos when you live(d) not too far from Edinburgh. (and I still can't find the clip I want so we'll go with this).

John Noble is great. Especially playing at least three versions of Walter Bishop

Spoiler

Prime Walter, 1980's ruthless Walter, and Walternate.

I do recommend it, it's sort of x-files except it's not aliens but other scientists/other earth. It wraps up quite neatly too since they were given a clear "hey it's your final series".

And hey, peoples favourite Wakandan king pops up.

Also watching FMA, though more of something I've put on when having tea(evening meal).

Also on my watchlist:

And also (though I'm like really doubtful for being okay)

I finished Hap & Leonard S2. I was a bit dubious about it at first but it quickly picked up. It's not as crazy as the first season but they actually have a more active role and I like the private detective style approach. Some aspects of it felt a bit weird in how the ending seemed to place a lot of importance and significance on elements that felt a little rushed over, like I'd missed an episode or something, but otherwise it had a great mix of drama and humour.

In other news, awwww yeah.

Yay, more Nick Frost. Also, it's weird seeing Tommen Baratheon as a badass.

Fringe is a great series! I also love this scene, it's clearly filmed in Science World, I use to go there all the time when I was little. Never got to meet a mad fringe scientist though :(

Portlandia finished tonight (at least in Canada, I think it airs a few days earlier in the US??). I'm glad they got The Mayor in such a big role for the last episode and his ending was great. Some episodes aren't as strong as other but over 8 seasons I think it might go down as one of my favourite sketch comedy shows.

That was better than I expected!

I don’t watch japanese wrestling and mainly stick to the WWE (mostly due to not really having an easy way to watch the others) though i’ve gotten familiar with Ibushi and Omega the past few years.

That’s pretty cool though. That’s what I really want in wrestling, the long term storyline, though really it’s kind of rare. This is what I want to happen with Zayn and Owens though. But they’ve switched to being friends and enemies a few times now, WWE can’t make up their minds!

But I guess in the long run that can be brushed aside in favor of few key events in the years to come. If there’s one thing the WWE is good at, its rewriting their history!

So, I finished a couple of seasons of shows.

The Tick

Didn't get back to this immediately after the mid-season "break" but it's pretty good overall. A very easy-breezy watch with a good bunch of characters and jokes.

Hap & Leonard - Season 3

While this season dealt with the "racist South" element way more directly, it is both the funniest and most moving season yet. The brotherly bond between the two leads is really explored and you can see why the story keeps flashing back from a pivotal moment later on. The mystery falls a little flat, but the supporting characters, especially those returning from S2, really add to the whole thing. Real gut punch of an ending, too.

Counterpart

Just wrapped up the first series of this. I quite enjoyed it, despite the fact that 'intrigue' isn't my usual go to genre. Cast is absolutely cracking. Definetly ramps up towards the end, though mainly it has some weird kind of pacing issues, like there's certain plot threads that needed to come together at certain points so some are dragged out to keep on hold and some are sped up. I dunno, hard to explain without going deep into spoilers.

I guess something I've liked is it's ultimately quite a sci-fi show, a core part is parallel earth, but it's more of a cold war spy thriller. And up until the final episode there's not much in the way of weird tech (and even then all it really is is a conference camera I guess). Oh except the hand scanner/cleaner things on the other earth.

Unfortunately can't properly watch it over here in UK, but in US you can watch it on every Nemesis favourite TV channel. So if you're wanting a 10-episode show to have a crack on it's a good one to start on.

It depends. Most shows go for at least 13 then hope to get "the back 9" for a more typical 22 episodes (usually the case with cartoons and sitcoms) but I'm not familiar with US networks and how they generally function, e.g. HBO might tend to do 10 episode seasons.

I know that most places aim to reach 100 episodes because then you can go into syndication. Typically, US networks will always ask of any new show being pitched, "Where are the five seasons?" That's part of why S4 of Arrested Development was edited into 22 episodes; although, I'm not sure if the shortened S3 still puts it short of the 100 when S5 comes out.
