TheFlyingGerbil
I don't remember the censoring when I watched it perhaps they did that later as I watched when it first came out. I'd say it's worth a watch as its not too long but I don't think it was great and if it was a long season or several seasons I wouldn't definitely be able to say it was worth getting in to. TheMightyEthan
The stuff I read said it was actually the opposite: everything was censored at first but now on iTunes and Vudu it's uncensored.
Mal
I watched and finished Making a Murderer. First of all, poor Halbach family. Secondly my overall impression and I'm putting it spoiler tags since maybe some of you want this story to unfold via the documentary: weird documentary show. It calls into question whether if the justice system was working correctly. It's something way bigger than just the Steven or anybody else from the Avery line. Mistrust of the justice system and how it can be twisted and manipulated is very real. Regardless what Steven did, a failure of the system happened to him before in 1985. Hopefully it didn't happen to him again because the implications is just terrible... I want to believe that he did it but I rather light the whole system on fire than to ignore such a disgrace. On Brenden... oh man. He's not a bright kid in a really fucked situation even if he had a hand in it. What happened with the police and his trial is ridiculous. I don't see how you can see it any other way. Okay, Brenden is guilty, does it make how he was treated up till his conviction right?
TheFlyingGerbil
Has The X Files started in the US yet? If not is anyone going to watch it? I hope it's not disappointing. II can hardly remember what I thought about it by the end of the previous run.
TheMightyEthan
It has. I haven't watched it because I never finished the original run and feel like I should before watching this one.
TCP
I watched it, there's a lot of hate for it online but I thought it was fine, very similar to the original X-Files. A little slower compared to some of modern television though. They kept the original credits, which is great.
Mr. GOH!
Yeah, I heard it was garbage, a lot like the X-Files movies and its final seasons.
TCP
Yeah truthfully, I don't really see the point of the X-Files after Fringe, which did everything the X-Files was trying to do but about a thousand times better.
TheFlyingGerbil
Wow, I'm super stoked now, guys! Probably still give it a go.

Hot Heart
I finished Mr. Robot. So, yeah, totally saw the Fight Club twist coming. They even fucking used a cover of Pixies' "Where Is My Mind?" Did not see the sister twist coming but that's because Elliot is a very unreliable narrator. I kinda liked it, but also the tone or just certain cartoonish elements reminded me too much of House of Cards, which I really could not get into. I'd like to say I'm sort of interested to see where it goes, but so much is open and directionless, I find it hard to care. Eleven
Question, Arrow Season 3 Is Sara really dead? I just want to know. I really like Sara. Also I know Thea dies and is resurrected or at least thats what I accidentally read. But I saw pictures of Sara along with the dad from Alias. She was wearing white and not the Canary suit... TCP
Yeah, it was weird. They killed her, and then a few months later announced Legends of Tomorrow which would feature her. It's a comicbook TV show, so, yeah.
deanb
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-35490238 Matt LeBlanc to be co-host of Top Gear with Chris Evans. It sorta makes sense. He's actually in a sitcom on BBC2 atm so he's at least chummy with them, and he's known in America too so there's a draw there (especially as Americans will know Chris Evans as Captain America, not radio & TV host). The only problem is...he'll always be stuck in second gear. It says additional cast to be announced shortly(always weird when BBC goes third person) so still hoping on Sue Perkins. Also of less relevance to the Americans, Dara O Briain and Angela Scanlon announced as hosts for nu-Robot Wars (both Irish) http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-35482622
TheMightyEthan
(especially as Americans will know Chris Evans as Captain America, not radio & TV host). I'd wondered if that was the same Chris Evans, had to google to make sure it wasn't.

Mal
Since I actual do run it as background noise at times... I totally forgot they were going to reboot The Powerpuff Girls. No reason to judge it yet but hey, they kept the original designs mostly intact. Maybe some of the differences is due to improved/easier animation since the original series. We'll find out in April if it is any good! I want some adult humor thrown in...
Mister Jack
Unfortunately the animation most definitely got a significant downgrade. It doesn't look nearly as good as the original. I also can't help but feel like all of CN's shows are starting to look the same. It's like they're trying to copy Adventure Time or something (which was never that pretty to look at but at least it had a decent story up until it went totally off the rails). CorgiShinobi
So anyone remember Wander Over Yonder? The Disney Channel animated show that has been around a while, but kinda gets overlooked? I've watched some of the more recent episodes and it's pretty good stuff. I mainly have watched it for the main antagonist, Lord Hater and his Watchdogs. The protagonist, Wander, is always trying to make Lord Hater into a good guy and is trying to find ways for Lord Hater to befriend him. You know, to be honest, I swear this show is an analogy for adulthood. You have the half that's frustrated and gets angry when things aren't going to plan, but then you have the other half who's optimistic and wants to do good by people. Also, the animation is amazing and entertaining with character anatomy. It also helps that there's some pretty clever pop culture references for the adults too. The most recent episode was a musical, and I swear it was not at all bad. I was expecting some cringe inducing show tunes, but they were all excellently handled and catchy. TCP
Y'all watching 11.22.63, or what it should be known as, 22.11.63, but you know.... 'mericu. I think it's pretty good, James Franco's surprisingly good in this. I don't know much about the Kennedy assassination or how that led to Vietnam, and the show kind of glazed over that, but besides that I'm enjoying it. But seriously though, if you go back to 1960, start "writing" Beatles songs, c'mon.
TheMightyEthan
I'm not sure how the assassination might have contributed, but we were already well on our way to being tied up there before he died.
Eleven
Making a Murderer Anyone else find it curious or odd that the prosecution is so soft spoken and it was the defense who is forceful? That's not what years of TV has taught me! It's kind of annoying me a bit. But that Kachinsky lawyer though. Wow. I can't remember the last time I really really wanted to punch somebody in the face! I do acknowledge the cuts in the documentary might be biased. They did a good job though of evoking emotion.
danielpholt
I feel like they did a disservice to the actual case by being so one sided. It's very obviously bias to one side, and it sort of puts the entire doc on shaky ground, but maybe it doesn't work if we know the full facts? That same sense of outrage certainly wouldn't be evident. I'll say this. The prosecution fucked the case up in so many ways that they almost got a guilty man off through sheer incompetence.
Eleven
I agree but it probably wouldn't be a hit like it is. I wanna see the twitter follower count though of at least 3 people in that documentary! And Yelp reviews! Feels a bit surreal that these are real people.
