Your Vault is shared between all chars on your account right? That does soften the blow.

I dont think i regret purchasing Destiny either, but i definitely feel bitter not having the freedom to trade it in.

Never taking the plunge on a big purchase digitally again. If i have to, ill buy retail and once i know its worth it trade it in and get it digital. But aside from that, never digital first time.

Except perhaps for MGSV TPP. Wooh nelly.

I've gotten used to not being able to trade games in. It's always a gamble on getting a game on launch or very near launch (e.g., SimCity's problems fell under the radar since no one was able to play it long enough to really make the problems apparent). I only took the plunge with Destiny since from the impressions that I got from you guys, it is a fine game. I think the only major sticking point is how the drops/decrypting works. Otherwise, it's either cosmetic problems (The 3rd person animation leaves things to be desired) or its only temporary (Earth is boring but it gets better with each planet). There's really not much you can do with lore, that takes a while to build up (though screw having to go to bungie's website to check some of it out).

Also you screwed up with TPP. It's "WHOOOOAAAA OOOOOOOOO".

Oh, man, did an event during a Patrol where a thing needed protecting (a Haz-something?) and it was me, a lowly level 4, and a level 20 dude. Got to wipe out a huge chunk of the last spawn with my super and just about survived to complete the objective before dying to some tougher survivors in the last mob. Then us two awesome Guardians waved at each other and danced to celebrate.

Even that was fun. Can't wait for some proper co-op stuff.

Also, I'm noticing some nice little touches.

- On a story mission, I was hanging about, shooting dudes rather than progressing, and a dropship appeared in the sky; I'm presuming it's a random thing but still cool. It shot at me as it passed overhead too. Not cool!

- If Ghost is talking to you through your... helmet(?) and then you press the sensor bar button to bring up the objective stuff, the audio of his voice switches to reflect the fact that he's popped up in front of you.

- Look up when it's raining and you get little drops of water on your visor (just another of the cool visor effects you've probably already noticed).

Oh boo hoo. :P

In all honesty, I bought all my legendary armor with marks and strange coins. I only "got lucky" with the exotic weapons I have.

Obtaining legendary and exotic gear isnt even the hardest part of this game....it's leveling them up. The materials you need are scarce as hell. Ive pretty much unlocked all my gear's levels, but I dont have the materials to upgrade them.

Shit goes to hell fast. It quickly devolves to me trying to stay back so I don't get 1 hit KO. During my second public event, I made my first encounter with the orb enemies which scared the crap out of me. You know the fresh recruit in sci-fi shows or whatever who goes "What the fuck is that!?" when faced with an unknown enemy? That was me. And they were a few levels above me.

So yeah, public events are awesome.

I need two peeps to help with a level 26 strike I have to do to unlock Thorn. There's no matchmaking on it.

*Edit* - Also it's got the epic modifier, which makes lots of super aggressive guys, so probably want to be at least 26.

Need the same. Let me know when you find a third person.
