What changed?

You just have to keep trying it over and over til everyone finds a specific job to do. You have to perfect what youre doing to the point where you wont make any mistakes like dying, running out of ammo, or failing to kill certain enemies in time. Overall the difficulty of it is doing enough damage in the very little time you have to do it. The raid doesnt allow you waste any time. Play out your role in the raid so no one has to help you out unless thats what theyre supposed to do.

Anyways, I think Im switching over to Titan since I go this sweet ass helmet...

Also, shoulder checking is awesome.

Playing Titan is the next thing I think I'll do whenever I get bored of the Warlock. And that sounds about right about people perfecting their roles. That even happens in regular Strike if it is hard enough. The Raid is just much more specific from what I've read.

Can you join up with random people in the Raid, or do you have to organize a Fireteam first? I mean, there isn't matchmaking, but at the same time in story missions and certain strikes you can join up with others.

That's really the only thing I haven't done, so after I get my Queen's Wrath cloak, I think I'll shelf Destiny until something new entertains the idea of picking it up again.

You have to organize your own team. No random matchmaking,

Destiny patch 1.0.2 is now live.  Patch notes:

Cryptarch
  • Legendary (purple) engrams will always produce a Legendary quality item or higher
    • Note: Legendary engrams that exist in your inventory will change to Rare quality items when the patch is applied. However, decoding these engrams will still produce the same results as before
  • Rare (blue) engrams will always produce a Rare quality item or higher
    • Chance for Legendary gear increased
  • Materials: Ascendant Shards and Ascendant Energy promoted to Legendary quality (from Rare quality)

Rewards
  • Rare (Blue) and Legendary (Purple) Engram drops added to the potential rewards for:
    • Vanguard: Tiger Strike Playlist
    • Daily Heroic Missions (first time per day)
    • Weekly Heroic Missions (first time per week)
  • Known issues
    • When selecting a higher difficulty for daily missions, XP Bonus not show in the reward display
    • You will still get the XP bonus, you just won't see it in the UI

Crucible
  • Reduced time limit on Bastion and First Light in Control and Clash from 15 to 12 minutes, bringing them in line with non-vehicle maps in those playlists
  • Lowered weighting on Bastion and First Light in Control and Clash so they appear less often in those playlists

I'm actually surprised just how exponential defense rises with light level. One small upgrade and then I can stand a blast in the face by the Nexus' hydra.

Also luck was on my side. I got my wish of a level 20, legendary hand cannon. Made doing appreciable damage a thing. Now if only I got legendary armor that wasn't for other classes.

And fuck hunters in the Crucible. I get a big justice boner by killing one before or after they get me with their daggers.

Finally did the nightfall strike. Cheesed the shit out of it, but I did it. 500 rep for about 20 ,minutes of game time is awesome. A legendary fusion rifle on top is just icing on the cake since I already had one.

To be honest, I can't imagine doing this strike or any level 28 strike without cheesing it. That kind of sucks.

Alright, I need help to finish the Thorn bounty. I've been sitting on the final stage of that bounty forever, and even though I have a great Arc damage weapon and good Solar damage weapon, my Solar is through a Machine Gun and hardly any Heavy Ammo drops. The Wizards are a pain in my ass and I think even passing Phogoth on my own is impossible.

I think there's a website for Destiny where I can recruit strangers, but I rather have two people, or at least one, from here help me out. Ethan, I saw you moved on to Shadow of Mordor, but maybe you might help with this bounty? It's honestly the only thing making me play Destiny still after a whole month with this one game.

I can't do it tonight.  Sorry.

The way to cheese the Phogoth part though is to have one person hang out just outside the room where the Griever spawns (the side opposite Phogoth's chamber).  The enemies won't come all the way in, so you're safe and there's no way to party wipe as long as someone's staying there, and you can kill the enemies from there until Xyor shows up.

Yesterday was the start of the Iron Banner Limited Event.

It's not really worth it if you're curious.

Supposedly you won't get any RNG event armor or weapons until you're Rank 2 in Iron Banner. (EDIT: Iron Banner Vendor, Lord Saladin, doesn't even sell much with shaders, a class item, and one heavy weapon.) However, getting to Rank 2 is a pain in the ass if you don't have much time or put a high value on what time you spend in video games. The reason being is the main fault with the event, and you may have already read this, is that you don't get any Iron Banner Rep for being on the losing side.

When people quit on your side, as there's no incentive to stay beside +10 Crucible/Faction Rep, your fate is sealed and you can only hope to fill the requirements for an Iron Banner Bounty. Yet those Iron Banner Bounties can be tough, but that's the intention. Iron Banner is suppose to be the elite and battle-hardened player's battleground where armor and weapons matter.

Except they still don't as you can keep up with higher level players with relatively decent armor and a rare/blue weapon. Good for anyone feeling unprepared, but disappointing for anyone who wanted to put further use to their gear. If you want to do anything this week, as a Hunter, talk to the Speaker because he has Strength of the Pack in stock now. Also has Cosmic Joke, which is another good looking cloak, but Strength of the Pack is killer with the gold/silver color and wolf insignia.

How much shit do Bungie have to fuck up before they realise they have to start making serious changes to this game? Specifically mechanics like that. No reward if you fail? Come on. You can only get away with that if you provide a viable alternative. Which they havent- if the queen missions are gone now?

There was some news article recently about how they had gone back to the drawing board with some of their ideas. Hopefully that means the game will improve soon, cos as it is it's almost not worth owning.
